OFFICIAL Adam Doueihi #227

I think Brandon smith is a sociopath, and as such his inability to find empathy after Adam poured his heart out , would be a reflection on himself ,re. His brain would be like “ how dare he do this to me” rather than, that was pretty dog on the team .theyre 2 different things
To be fair, brandon said all of this before Adam's press conference

I don’t think there are many players that I would I say I hate that’s based on nothing to do with how they conduct themselves on the field, and just who they are as a person. But he’s one of them. Just seems like a shit human.

All very convenient, where did all the leaks come from ....if he was serious about playing lock he would have made sure Benji picked him there this week ....
Hate all you want man . I’m not doing this . I’m not gonna justify any behaviour . You’re missing my point . You can tell you’re young or you’re the type of dude who’s never gone full send .
Which means you either haven’t had the life experience yet , or you don’t understand how when you’re like that .. how much your brain betrays you . Maybe he vented to a dad or brother or cousin or something , and that’s who Riccio is in tight with .
I dunno . I hate that his circle did that . It’s shit . But as someone whose irrational brain has caused all kinds of chaos in the past , how can I objectively judge someone who’s done similar . Especially as you can hear the cracks in his voice , the breathing and holding back of tears , and shame and all the shit that’s subliminally being said that’s says “ I made a huge mistake please forgive me “.
For me as a dad , that’s the type of shit I wanna see . It’s not about the mistake .l it’s happened .l. What can you do ..l but rather about what are you willing to do to fix it . And it seemed like Adam today was willing to do those things .

Not about hating, it's about standards and consequences for you action.

It's the reason the culture in the team and the club in general is so poor.

AD showed his real character last week when he was asked to do something for the team, he choose to drag the team and club through the mud and shat on a young fellas debut.

Today was a performance for the camera, at the very least he should have come back through cup.

He has made Benji and the club incredibly weak. But hey hey said sorry so it's all good like it never happened....

Being sorry dose not free you from the consequences of your actions...

Words are cheap, actions speak louder....

The worst part about all of this for me is that it has played out in the media. Other clubs make up an injury or illness and resolve things internally without leaks.
Other clubs aren't losing all the time.

The difference with Tigers and all other clubs is that Tigers have a Finals Monkey that we need to get off our backs. The speculation and innuendo disappears overnight when you are winning, we already saw it early this year. Media and fans love backing a winner and enjoy death-riding a loser.

And there's something specific about the Tigers, something in the water that makes weird / unique / interesting stuff happen. Tigers spend far too much time in the media for a club that doesn't win much. Doesn't help either that Tigers are a Sydney club; it would be much quieter if we were regional.

And it's now become it's own thing, the media loves reporting Tigers stuff because they do, it's self-fulfilling. You wouldn't even know there were other teams playing for finals positions this week, the Tigers story is just too good, too juicy. Consider that Tigers and Eels will not play finals AGAIN in 2026, now the 5th year in a row for Eels, but all eyeballs were on the Team Lists for our game and will be again to judge the performance of AD on the weekend. I reckon the media would love Tigers to get up, imagine if Doueihi scores the winning try, they'll have another week of content to go on about and the actual blockbusters - Cowboys vs Roosters, Sharks vs Rabbits, Panthers v Raiders - will be second-fiddle.

"I want to protect my agent, Isaac Moses"

Pretty sure his little stunt backfired. Moses didnt have a new gig lined up like he thought he did. No club would now want to touch a walk out on your team player. Dude saw the writing on the wall and came crawling back to his day job. Apparently now he says he will play front row if Benji asks him too. So disappointed how weak the club is. On ya bike champ. I aint never gonna barrack for this clown while wearing a Tigers Jersey. Big hill to climb to earn any sort of respect back.

Good point, apparently he only wants what is best for the team. Finals are gone. Its best for the team for Andrews to be blooded in grade now for next year. Dooehy can be 3rd playmaker from 13 to take some pressure off if needed.

It all seems off to me. If AD is the best half back this week then why wasn't he the best halfback last week.

To me his explanation wrings hollow, especially the part about being gutted about last week's result and not being able to do anything about it. Well he could have played that would have been a good start.....

If he stays next year's season will be stuffed as well.

The meeting and press conferences were designed to shut down the media and seemed to have fooled allot of people in here.

Our last 3 months have been pathetic and the past week has been nothing short of a debacle.

Only thing we have learnt in AD picks the team.

I don't believe anything has been resolved, both the club and Benji look incredibly weak. Look forward the hog of a half back for the next 3 years.....
And remember, he has a busted shoulder apparently, so why is he even playing at all?

Conversely, if he is targeted akin to that of Galvin previously, then there is absolutely no doubt that it is about the individual rather than the team.

I won't be attending Parramatta stadium this week, but I would certainly be booing him with each touch of the ball if I was, because this is at Mitchell Moses and Woods levels of betrayal to me.

Then there is their common denominator of uncle Isaac and Adam bringing him in despite being asked not to, and especially when he knows that that parasite has a vendetta against the coach. He could have chosen another representative, but he didn't, so booing is deserved.

Respect, in that you are sticking by your original assessment of AD and his actions. Nothing has changed really.

However, in light of what seemed a heart felt apology, I wonder how many others on here will still show total contempt for the man, like they have been for the past week.

And imagine if he starts playing like he was before?

Mate … the obtuse nature to your post makes no sense to me . And I was the one most critical in here .
Performative ? If he’s that good of putting in a performance he’s doing the wrong job .
The reality is if none of us are capable of coming back from a mistake then that’s a really sad world , and not worth living in IMO.
As for the he’s sorry that’s it ? Who said that’s it ? That’s just the beginning . The real penance now is in what happens moving forward . The day to day . The apology was just the letting others know your willing to do the penance

Im pretty sure AD was genuinely remorseful do i think theres more to it absolutely, think this plays out more during the off season.
He probably was remorseful. But was he remorseful for the right reasons? Did he legitimately realise he screwed up and raise his hand, own it and move on. Or did think he had a gig lined up somewhere else, only to find out he didn’t? Now his name is mud and his only option is to suck up his pride and toe the line at our club. Losing leverage and realising you have no other options will make anyone “sorry”.
