Interesting week in English football.

- Mourinho looks to have been in talks with Chelsea;
- Mancini has got the boot (and rightly so);
- Wigan beat City in the FA Cup;
- Moyes looking to make a bid on Benzema;
- Rooney rumoured to be on the outer.

I don't think Rooney is too happy about being a midfielder and now having to have to deal with Moyes might have just iced the cake CB

Looks like City are going down the Chelsea route of throwing the toys out of the cot and sacking the manager after every bad season. If Man U used that style of leadership SAF would have been sacked before I was born.

Wigan have finally gone down, after countless freakish survivals, it has happened, although they did win the FA Cup which makes things interesting for next season as they compete in Europe while playing in a second tier. I guess Europa will help them hold onto some of their players.

I hope they (Wigan,) don't go down the road of Blackpool and Blackburn. They both look like they're condemned to the Championship for at least a couple more seasons unless they buy well. Wolverhampton will be relegated from the Championship this year too.

On Mancini, I don't have an issue with him getting the boot. Aside the fact I loathe City, With his squad he should have won the premier league by miles, at least got to the round of 16 in the CL and won the FA Cup. It was a year of severe under performance from City. On SAF and United, 25 years ago clubs were willing to give managers a few years to pull it together. It's very much a results orientated business and when you've got an open chequebook like City, Chelsea and United, clubs react quickly (or overreact if you will,) when they appear to not get return for their investment.

I predict once Arsenal pay off their stadium, Wenger will be given two years to win the PL or he'll be out on his arse too (and that's only if he hangs around long enough.)

Will be interesting to see how Everton cope with Moyes leaving and the possibility of Fellaini and Baines following.

Chelsea, the only club ever to hold both the Champions & Europa League trophies at the same time :wink:

Fernando Torres is also the first player to have won

Champions League
Europa League
Euro
World Cup

I think Chelsea could make a really good push for the premier league trophy next year if things go Chelsea's way this of season.. If Mourinho and Falcao join watch out..

BLACK CATS… SAFE!! BABOOM!

yep, glad to see the black cats safe.

this will be the first time in a few seasons that relegation especially and the championship does not come down to the last round.

wish that the nrl had the nads to play all last round at 3pm sunday arvo. imagine the intensity and atmosphere at the grounds when places and positions in finals were at stake. big crowd numbers and choice of viewing on fox and 9 etc.

Now that the EPL season is done and dusted is everyone happy with their sides performances

Gotta agree big with Big Sam's assessment finishing Top 10 was an overachievement for West Ham He has reset the same goal for the Hammers for 2013/14 and hopefully we can buy some key players

We need a world class striker , many times we would blow fantastic chances

Our mid field and back was good and Jussanainen was good apart from the howler he had in week 2 v Swansea

Overall Happy is happy with our season

I'm happy. Win the trophy with four games in hand.

Also happy that Arsenal beat Newcastle this morning to finish 4th.

Heap of goals this morning , 10 in Man U v WBA game (5-5) ,6 in Hammers v Reading game (4-2)

Pretty lackluster final day, especially compared to what happened 12 months ago, but that was always going to happen with relegation sorted and the title being won. Overall I felt the season was a little underwhelming, by December it seemed set in stone that Man U would win the whole thing.

Now onto next season, here's hoping my Toffees can get a good manager and bring in a class striker to make up for the lack of goals (which will be compounded when Fellaini inevitably leaves this window).

Last year was an amazing finish and chances are it won't happen again for sometime soon. I find english football still creates enough excitement despite not having a final series. With Champions League & Relegation spots on top of european football, FA and League Cup.

Yeah great game well done bayern by far the best team in Europe
The new style of play employed by all the German teams in the pAst few seasons have made the bundesliga the number 1 league in the world
No question
