2018 Grand Final Melbourne v Roosters

Melbourne don’t hold a candle to the Roosters, despite their salary cap scandal almost a decade ago. That scandal is now as ancient as the Dogs scandal in 2002\. Nobody still carries so much bitterness towards the Dogs over that, so why people still get so upset over the Storm beats me.

The Roosters are a grubby, soulless club. A stain on the game. Couldn’t develop a junior if they had a shot gun to their heads. They rely on a crusty old millionaire to keep them afloat, and when he dies, so will they.

Go the Storm

That was thoroughly enjoyable to watch. How's those lemons taste champ?
Smith, Slater, Munster, Chambers, ArseOfASorryMoaner and Vunivalu all played like crap. Doesn't get any better than that!
The only way to make whiskey n coke taste any better is to watch Cammy soak up the tears as well. Can go back to despising the Roosters now. Just needed a bit more coverage of Supercoach Gutsache spitting on the windows to really enjoy the night. Happy Days!!

I'll say it now

Worst thing that could of happened in regards to the retention of Luke Brooks

Well the actions of management in the next few weeks could decide that.

If its ,
' all's good , nothing to see here'
then we are stuffed and good luck to Luke.

Cronk makes sure he leaves the field early to lap up the attention….loves to pump up his own tyres its going to be a long off season hearing his life story....told by himself.
I'd rather listen to paint dry- let alone watch it.
Keary was the difference tonight, well played young man. Mitchell owned Chambers, that was a highlight.

Woods got to the semis (via an interesting route ) , Tedesco won a premiership , Addo carr won a premiership and made a GF , Moses saw the semis last season

I'm not sure if we are any closer to the finals

I'm not sure if we even have a coach :roll

Roosters membership for you in your Xmas stocking this year. How sad you have to resort to cheering them on

It was brilliant viewing watching Chambers lose his rag !

The start of the coverage only made me long for the days of 2005\. Though forever etched in our hearts and minds, it’s such a distant memory. It really sucks already knowing that Roosters are going to come back bigger and stronger next year.

Yay to us Tigers faithful as we officially survived watching Teddy’s Roosters take it out. The only thing I couldn’t stop thinking at the end was…how on earth can you honestly celebrate knowing your club has to buy a premiership?

It was a super weird feeling not to really genuinely care about either team. But I thought it was poor from the crowd to keep booing Billy. I don’t care how much of a grub he is - surely his kids and family were there.

Well done to Keary, as he finally got some credit for what he’s been doing well for the Roosters in the past 2 seasons.

Dang! *_* that flick pass from Matterson literally made my ovaries explode.

I have to admit , that this is the first time, That I have ever ,in the history of GFs, been made aware that someone’s ovaries have suffered trauma, or, anything else for that matter, because of the game.
However I certainly wish them a swift recovery whstever it was that occurred to them,

Not having any idea of what happened to them , I’m not sure whether it was a pleasant or non pleasant experience so I don’t know whether to be happy for you….....or to sympathise with you
So I just hope that you ( and your Ovaries)enjoyed the game , and congratulations for the most unique post that I’ve ever seen here

Too far happy lol

I've really enjoyed this year's finals. It seemed like we had to put up with a long season of crap. Its like we got all the good games at the end.
I think there was a big divide between the top 8 and the rest. Maybe a bit like the 80's?

I'm curious all the Melbourne haters in the thread, is it the players or what the club stands for? Because Melbourne might have previously been cheats, but no salary cap issues for a decade. Otherwise it's, what, the way they bend and test the rules?

Well I believe the Roosters bend and test the rules as well, just in a different facet. They are literally superior in every single position to Tigers 1-17 and ran out a team this evening just chock full of rep talent.

Roosters essentially flashed the chequebook last year and picked up two soulless $1M players. They cherry-picked two of arguably the top 5 or 6 players in the entire game to "complement" the team they already had, let go of a few nuffies, and didn't even have to wait more than 1 season to jag the premiership.

If that doesn't upset people as much as Melbourne have done, I don't get why not. I get some people can't choose between the teams, but to be celebratory about the Roosters… I cannot see any possibility how.

The only saving grace was watching Smith and Slater choke on their bitterness, and not to have to put up with a Slater arse-kissing in the post-match.

Wow, the climax of the game bursts out in the ultimate paragraph. Sounds exciting, so I may have to catch a replay.

The two best run clubs played in the gf. We need to wise up.

Congrats to Teddy, he made a wise career choice and will continue to benefit from it. Our guys will go back to the back of a grandstand.

The two best run clubs… only cause they have the best accountants to fool the nrl and an endless supply of
Money

Again the ultimate paragraph says it, but their coach is worse still in my eyes.

Your Storm might get there next year. Enjoy the saltiness. What a great night.

I totally agree. I dislike the Storm probably because I’m just jealous of their success over such an extended period of time. But the Roosters- I just can’t see how any non-Roosters fan can celebrate their victory knowing how they bought themselves a premiership.

To me this grand final has shown everything that’s wrong with the game. And the dramas at our club just makes me depressed to the point where I feel like giving up on the NRL altogether. Maybe the only thing that will give me something to smile about would be if the Roosters get done for cheating the cap. And we all know the likelihood of that…..

Thanks Uncle Nick

If the Roosters and a few other select clubs continue to be allowed to systematically buy all the best players on the market without scrutiny then in a few years the NRL will end up like the women's comp is at the moment - all the good players will be stacked into half a dozen teams, which will be the only ones capable of competing for the Premiership.
