Which club is going to be the first to blink.
I think that it will be Souths' on the 1st November.
Followed by Broncos, then the dominos will fall into place.

Apparently it has to be before 1st of November as The coaches all commence their 2019 season and hence can be paid for it if moved on once it starts.

Sorry correction,
This concenrn is if the current coaches start the 2019 season it will be coming out of the 2019 coaching cap whereas it’s a tidier option to do it prior or on the day 2018 ceases.

I didn’t know that there was a cap on Coaches, isn’t that the case
I’m pretty sure it wasn’t , when did that change?

The last EBA not so much on Coaches you can still pay a head coach whatever you want but it means less that Clubs can spend on their football operations which includes the coach his staff sports science etc etc

I thought I read somewhere that there is a 30% fine for every dollar spent over the Football department.
That is really going to hurt the wealthy clubs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe Mum Burgess could be his assistant, that could be better than a TPA

Cant get my head around Bennett slotting into our system and taking our current squad on, after what he is accustomed to at the Broncos.
I will be shocked if he signs on, especially when he considers the squad he will inherit compared to the one he will be forced to give up. Makes me very nervous on many fronts.

We should be accustomed to being very nervous

That’s what I can’t understand either, the risk for him is by far the biggest risk that he has ever faced,
We not only don’t have the cattle now , but we don’t have the sort of young blokes coming through like he is used to , and we dont have the money trees that he’s used too either,
With a few exceptions we don’t have blokes that can last a season, that was shown last season.
If he thinks that he can make this team get a premiership, then it’s his ego that’s making his decisions, not his head

I'm amazed that so many people on here are surprised coaches would prefer to coach at rich and consistently successful clubs than a club that's traditionally a basket case like us.

Come to think of it, no I'm not…

I thought it had been reported a few weeks ago that Furner had signed a Super League contract.Broncos won't pay Bennett out would cost them $1 mil.

Furner had a get out clause in his contract, if he got a NRL head coaching gig.

Interesting if true

Throws a spanner in everyone's works

Broncos don’t want to risk being embarrassed if the coach they are getting rid of wins a comp .

And they can afford $1M easily .

I can’t work out how to post pictures but the Mole posted a picture with Furner at a pub after his report on Seibold. I think you can take it as done. I posted earlier Souths would promote Furness or a rookie they don’t want a vet would get in the way of Richos ego.

Souths won’t muck around Seibold will be gone immeadiatley and Wayne paid out. Wayne’s odds to the Tigers just shortened.

How insecure can you be to post a photo like that to try and prove your credibility.

Given the amount of garbage and speculation floating around, at least Moley is putting himself out there to show he's at least met with the person he's running a story on. I'll bet Bulldog, Bender, Buzz and the other tabloid journalists at the DT haven't picked up their phones or left their desks to write their stories.

Has this kind of thing happened before where a coach has most of the salary cap to spend and walks out the door the next season.
