2019 Trial matches

Righto - first whinge for the year. Why play the trial in NZ?? As a fan and member I very much enjoy going to a trial/s to watch the team ahead of the season. But hey, who cares about fans and members!

You'd be one of the few. It's very hard to get a guage on anything. I remember going to one against Parra at Campbelltown and we got towelled up 30-0\. We finished that year in the top 4\. Coaches treat them with contempt.

You’re right about trial form being a poor gauge. I suppose I just like getting out to see the team play after a long off season. But I do enjoy watching individuals to see who looks bigger, fitter etc. I will still go to the isp trial to see who might push for top 17 selection.

Warriors vs Tigers trial match will be on Fox.

As long as we dont have big injuries in the trial match, and we "learn from our mistakes" during that trial match (not implying that we are gonna lose butttt…..) so that we are prepared for when the season starts

Looks like we've already played a trial of sorts

Opposed session according to https://www.nrl.com/news/2019/02/13/bulldogs-blow-out-cobwebs-in-opposed-session-against-wests-tigers/ no score given.

Melbourne played Newcastle last year with now fans etc.

I like the idea.

No pressure.

I wish the Tigers would have given us some updates on how it went

Ok so the ISP trial vs the Dogs on the 23rd, whats the chances of a strong NRL contingent playing that game? Im talking Gamble, Garner, Mikaele, Aloia, Fonua etc?
