[2022] If Madge goes, who you have as a replacement?

This is rumour, I thought you had some insight into the way he wanted the team to play or some deficiency in the way the sharks were trained or maybe some controversy that has been covered up. But if you're going off Daily Telegraph reporting I'm still not convinced he's a bad coach. Even if not being able to attract star players is valid and is the biggest weakness then I'd still not dismiss him as a potentially good coach for us.

It's a bit more than rumour, but fair enough.

If you just want to go off results, his two years at the Sharks were pretty uninspiring imo.

To be honest, none of the potential candidates are banging the door down, but I'd rather take a punt with Woolfe or Ryles than Morris.

What really peeves me is that we are in the same position as 2017. No, make that a much worse situation, five bloody years later.

I don't give a shit who the new coach is, what does give me the shits is that our WT have been going much worse now, going backwards for the past three years and then starting a fourth season with the same coach in another act of sheer stupidity.

Someone above footy department level needs to fall on their sword as well. Again, don't really care who it is, as long as it's an influential one and not simply a fall guy.

Also, I would think that sacking Madge would look very bad for the club. We had previously tried to destroy Sheens career.
Which self respecting coach will take the job on at the coach killers club? If Madge is ever looking for another job, he would probably leave Wests Tigers off his resume.

Not coaching us. He’s probably the best rookie coaching prospect in the game. He’ll get opportunities at more stable clubs than us. Word is that’s the advice he got last year when he was linked to us.

No idea who the next coach should be but it can't be a relatively new coach. I'd say Flanno he did some realky dumb stuff, he's done his time.
If we get a young coach like Morris in, this place will chew him up and spit him out.

He was moved on from the Sharks for one of the main reasons Maguire is being chased out - he can't attract a player.

And, if that is the case, it's the very reason wew should not go near him. He seems like a nice bloke and obviously can coach but we need good players. That is our number one need.

If he continues with Brooks as halfback he should go, the guy is killing us. I live in NZ but will gladly pay to drive Brooks out of the club to Canterbury or Newcastle and Madge with him if he can't see how bad he is as a half.

And why are South Sydney letting him out of his current contract to do that?
