Benji must have been a close second!
Speaking of PC did we really need a rendition of the Haka at an awards ceremony?I would be the first to acknowledge the NRLW competition's valid contribution to the entire Rugby League season however, the time and exposure afforded to the NRLW at these awards compared to the NRL was totally disproportionate when you compare 27 rounds played Vs 9 and 17 teams Vs 10
As a result there was no time to acknowledge the respective NRL nominees for each position in the team of the year.
I know we are now living in times of equal opportunity and political correctness compared to the past but, these awards like many others have given way to "diplomatic gender-free inclusiveness".
This is what people are getting their knickers in a knot about now? Lol unreal.Speaking of PC did we really need a rendition of the Haka at an awards ceremony?
Yes. Nz is part of the comp. In fact hopefully the nrl celebrate PNG heritage when they join.Speaking of PC did we really need a rendition of the Haka at an awards ceremony?
It's not even something that happens every year. They were just celebrating the fact a NZ player won a prestigious award just like they did with RTS all those years ago.Yes. Nz is part of the comp. In fact hopefully the nrl celebrate PNG heritage when they join.
Maybe people shouldnt applaud either?Speaking of PC did we really need a rendition of the Haka at an awards ceremony?
I enjoyed itSpeaking of PC did we really need a rendition of the Haka at an awards ceremony?
Gould also said the kid was so young he wouldn't know what a hip drop was .LOL ,he's in 1st Grade 4 a reasonGould was right. Galvin deserved rookie of the year. His suspension was harsher than to many others penalised for hip drops later on. He just happened to be pinged at a time when the NRL was cracking down and make an example of him.
I love the haka. The emotion is unreal. Was a mad scene hearing Warbrick then the 3 lads doing the haka for Jarome
It's a respect thing. I believe.
I really enjoyed it, always enjoy the haka.
Hughes won by a point. It shouldn't have been that close. The dally m is a farce. It is run by old boys judges who have favourites. There is always a bunch of wrongly awarded players. But it's not the biggest deal. I'd prefer the refereeing to be better than an individual awards nightWas Hughes in a weak team?
What point are you making here?
Didn’t he lose 6 points due to a week suspension?Hughes won by a point. It shouldn't have been that close. The dally m is a farce. It is run by old boys judges who have favourites. It probably wouldn't have been that close if he wasn't rested in Rd 26Hughes won by a point. It shouldn't have been that close. The dally m is a farce. We've had Jazz Hands before so why not have players rush up to the stage and re-enact Sharon's celebration effort?Maybe people shouldnt applaud either?
I think the issue with that would be, if a player misses a game through Origin, injury, suspension etc, they'll be too far behind. It probably wouldn't have been that close if he wasn't rested in Rd 26
The voting system.needs.a.complete overhaul... Go back to the old RLW way of judging EVERY player that weekend out of 10 and be done with it
Yep the 3-2-1 system doesn't take into account a player's actual effort and involvement. It creates a lot of inconsistenciesIt probably wouldn't have been that close if he wasn't rested in Rd 26
