2026 Rugby League World Cup fixtures - October/November

Channel 7 are awful. An hour later, no game replay, post match highlights is a dead link. We can all be thankful they don’t hold the regular season rights. As bad as Kayo and 9 can be, they make 7 look terrible in comparison.

nothing on f-tel 502 friday either.Maybe we need to scratch that itch or buy a sub/per scription for a cure

Loved the game. It was better than any of the Origins or NRL semis. Might be hope for the international game after all.

Now that Marky Mark's gone, Ponga and Walsh are unchallenged as the best athletes in league. Awesome.

Sad to say for me I missed the game completely! I’m all footballed out from our disappointing season, so I switched off and forgot all about it. By the time I realised it was on I couldn’t find where to watch it lol. I’m flicking through the channels like an idiot trying to catch the last 10 minutes, in a million years I never thought it would be on channel 7, so I didn’t even go there! Sounds like I missed a good game. Oh well, the season’s too bloody long to keep on watching anyway.

[Oldman]

that is a decent theory they are $3 if they lose tonight they go to say $3.80 or so.
I think australia gets better as world cup goes on
I thing England are a good price at $15 and Tonga st $10 I have had a little on each of those.

NZ $4.50 I’m on

It was a brilliant game and as a few have said I thought 7 did a great job...not so much on replays it seems
@Yossarian try 7+
Thought Robbos comme.tary was really good broke the game down well simply but accurately...keary is a natural as is Johnson

Ponga and Walsh really lit the ground up with great games ...theyre paid the big bucks to do freakish things and they delivered on the back of their forwards and halves.
Gunna be a hard act to follow all the rest of the games after that opener

My only issue with the coverage was the lack of a close up through the entire haka

NZ $4.50 I’m on

Plenty of improvement in the kangaroos they were well short of a gallop
dont think they can make the final without Ponga mate.

[Oldman]

Trell has done nothing he is just a lazy bludger and only plays for his highlight reel. He is extremely overrated.

I think he is extremely overpaid
Which has caused the attitude of don’t give a dam
He has all the talent just not the desire.
Every now and then he pulls out a big play and the media go crazy about him,
And that’s all he needs.

I see it differently
A lot of Australian players have played together in state of origin games which helps the cohesion, where NZ only get together once a year if that.
I see a lot more improvement team wise in the kiwis.
Time will tell but im happy with $4.50

Yep, I missed the live game cos I was watching a replay of the weather channel from back in 2010. Still no match highlights. But Nrl.com have posted match highlights of NZ vs Fiji and a couple of other past games. That is squarely on PVL's backside! He is the boss and the buck stops with him.

plenty of those kangaroos players had not played for awhile, looked very clunky and underdone

The NRL do not administer the World Cup. Maybe they need to wait for the highlights

I'm not sure how realistic this is , but Fox have an article that Ponga could be back for the semi
Based on Jahrome Hughes 3 weeks return

Thanks, Dr. So the bureaucrats of World Rugby League and Ch7 couldn't provide the biggest marketplace for Rugby League on the planet with game highlights in a timely fashion, despite providing the usual try and interview material last night. Just watched them; looks like NRL.com got them mid-morning today. Australia very lucky given the 2 intercepts in Kiwi attacking pozzies.

Thanks, Ink - I really must read the fine print "exclusively" on 7. I never watch Ch7. But now that I know, I will channel my inner bogan to better understand the ads!
