Jay is strong and playing well. Jake is into 1st and 2nd reciever alot and is starting to look really comfitable there.

Solid all-round game. Greatb defense (for u20's).

Our first grade team should spend some time observing the u20's as the kicking today was brilliant. Forced 7 drop-outs and kept them on the backfoot most of the game.

This was the sequence of events as seen by the ref:

Roosters player holds the jumper of a Tigers player
Tigers player chops at hand of said Roosters player
Roosters player retaliates to chopping
Penalty Roosters

Seemed he acknowledged the Roosters player shouldn't have been holding our guy but then told our player he shouldn't take it out of the official's hands. Well he wasn't going to penalise him so he sort of had to!! It also seemed unlikely he was going to penalise the chopping until the Roosters play retaliated so it's hard to follow the ref's logic there!

Anyway we got a get square not long after so it all worked out…

I think he's time at hooker last year has really helped Jay's defence. He makes great impact 90% of the time!!!

I don't think he's NRL standard yet but he's on a massive upward path at the moment so if that keeps up he'll make it there soon enough.

Bodie Clarke is also growing into the 5/8th roll to must be all the extras ....perfect kick for Jake Clarke's try...

and what about the transformation of Roqica from Australian schoolboys winger to starting Prop in the NYC...Sheens must be so proud....

Good to see Shaun Spence score his maiden try for the Wests Tigers too.....beat plenty....
