A Smell of 2005

was talking with some mates today and we realsied that the similarities between this year and that memorable year are scary

in 2005 we won 8 straight, beating sides like
Cronulla
Dragons and Manly (Consecutively)
Roosters
Cowboys

in 2011 we have beat all these sides (assuming we beat Cronulla this week of course) during a similar dream run (equaling the winning streak)

in 2005 we played our first semi against the cowboys, our second against the broncos and our third against the dragons

in 2011 we have every chance of playing the cowboys in week one, the broncos in week two and the dragons in week three.

we may be looking into it too much and over analysing eveyrthing but the again who knows. Just like 2005 this may be the year we are again called "The Premiers" :master:

We also finished 4th in 2005 and if we win this week we will finish 4th as well. Hodgson also won Top Point Scorer and Benji has a good chance to win that as well.

this year is different we are not rolling into the premiership because of a good roll or because we have heaps of momentum and confidence and are underrated

this year we have atam that truly deserved to be marked as one of thefavourites…we are finishing on the ladder approximately where we belonges to finish from the seasons start

we have internationals in tuiqiri lawrence the best player in benji the best 2nd rower in gareth.. a nsw prop in galloway...city country players in moltz gibbs and a few others.......we truly deserve it and if we win no one will class it as a fluke or a run

the only thing that will smell the same is that smell of the ring if we win again

we are the same team same attacking threat a few of the same players but we play a different brand of football at the same time
