Aaron Woods - Signs with Bulldogs 2018 - Sharks 2018 [Official]..

Glad to read NRL are scrutinising Dogs (and surely Roosters now).

It really amplifies how silly it is to have all these 2018 recruitment matters going on in early/mid 2017\. Players are moving to clubs that don't have the cap room and sorting it all out later because they have the time - if it were a specific period, and everyone had to be cap compliant, things would potentially run a hell of a lot different.
For example, the Dogs would have to rid themselves of multiple players to open up the cap space, in order to have the $$ to entice these guys, rather than the other way around.

lol at NRL not registering Wood$$$ contract, the one he hasnt even admitted to his employer he has signed.

He wouldn't have been dumb enough not to allow for this contingency?

The new offer from Tigers would be $0.000000 so other clubs would only have to beat that to sign him now

The NRL stance won't make a figs difference to Woods new contract at the Dogs but it will make a huge difference to who they keep and let go.

I wonder what happens if they are not salary cap compliant at year's-end? It's extraordinarily risky, borderline ignorant, to sign such big contracts when you don't know for sure you can offload existing players.

Like James Graham, will anyone really pony up $1M for him? And Moses Mbye is on the nose, it's so arrogant to assume you can offload your under-performing players to make cap space and keep all the good ones.

Surely Dogs having already shown their hand, every other club knows they hold the dominant position in trade talks. This could drag on all year whilst clubs wrangle on the value Canterbury will contribute to these contracts.

They could always simply pay Woods to lay on his back like he so often does at WT.

Not to reopen old wounds but seriously all the Farah haters must be eating some humble pie when you juxtapose his behaviour with that of these scum.

He was being pushed out and was always defiant in his love for the club. These scum get offered what ever they desire and come out bagging the club before dogging it and jumping ship.

Farah was a leader, Woods has the © next to his name. There is a difference.

No pie consumption here 33, different kettle, different fish. Not unhappy with either result following the way things progressed on the second front.

Haha "Farah haters", lol
I liked his attitude on the field but not as much off it.
It all came to a head when he told Tallis that Potter couldn't coach. From then on it was just one thing after another.

I don't buy for one minute that his sacking was just a personal spat with JT.

This year he is on close to $1M and last night his coach brought him on 6 minutes into the second half. Yep we are paying the majority but isn't it ironic that Potter was spot on with arguing that his last contract should be 2 years, not 4.

Intersting that Hasler has said nothing has been agreed or signed, they have talked but thats it.

I saw that on the news, with all the talk about Woods signing you would have to think Hasler is telling lies to buy time for tapping on shoulders.

According to another poster in his short minutes he set up three tries - probably more than the other guy for his majority on field time.

He also screwed up the final play which cost souths a chance at a final field goal attempt, passing to the wrong player.
Not the first time either

Des Hasler is just being reported on SBS news that a few other clubs are after Woods's signature - some fake news going round according to him. Mentined Knights and was it Manly?

Dogs wanted Tedesco, are trying to backflip on Woods if he goes to the Roosters.

They do not want to ostracise their fans by moving on players that want to commit to the club, while our players lost the fans respect for trying to jump ship at the first opportunity.

No that was Cody Walker who called the play.

Interestingly, Johns was frothing all over Cook but as soon as Farah came on Souths were back in it. Also Souths supporters on the forum are backing Robbie over Cook.

Yes Farah is far better captain than woods.

Whether jt did the right thing to drop Farah is a tough one to call.

Farah footy is at a pass level not being great. In one sense it would of been easier to see out his contact and in another sense it's great seeing a change in liddle and mckilrick.

Jt call on ballan was bad as his body was not up to continue although I'm sure his been good culturally to have around the club.

Also, I must say I've never seen any player behave the way Farah did when he got the tap on the shoulder to move on. He and his manager were very manipulative in the media and it became a USA still election to portray Farah as the good guy and Taylor the villain.

This is a bit different to the big 3 saga where their player manager just went boardroom gangster style and tried to control the club with his power he received from the influence he had on the big 4 which resulted in them making a business decision to pack up and leave the club that fed them.

So there we go folks the ebs and flows of the West's tigers . I'm certainly happy to see the behind of Farah, ayoob and the big Moses crew and welcome the new era in tiger town and hope we prosper in less drama.

Will pee my pants with laughter if Woods ends up on less money at Newcastle. Isn't he a Manly fan?
Please dogs try and backflip. Sooooo entertaining

If the Dogs pull their offer I'd be telling him to get stuffed if I was the Tigers. The schadenfreude would be off the Richter scale.

To be perfectly honest i dont want to see any of the 3 who are leaving in 2018 back at the club under any circumstances. As far as i am concerned they have all burnt their bridges and i dont care how good they end up all of them have shown appalling character.

I'm with you mate. I don't know whether pride is overruling common sense, but the last thing I want at this point is either Teddy or Woods being here next year after seeing their morals at work this year.
