Obviously doesn't rate JT.
But being the telling word.

Could be that JT doesn't rate Blair !

Yep, I think so! Because there is a new coach doesn't mean you leave a club, unless the new coach has told you that your not part of his plans for the future!

How do you include someone who never played fg? The most overhyped player since John Grant

The cap is looking good now, but will the club chase SKD, FPN or Trent Merrin?

Dear god, I've been ranting for weeks that I hope we nab Merrin. Would be a perfect signing.

Broncos were heavily touted to sign Merrin but surely they wouldn't have the cash now.

Stranger things have happened.

Id also be trying for Konrad Hurrell for 2016\. But now I'm pipedreaming. It's also past my bedtime.

How dare this club have players on the phones driving membership at the moment. Bring some light to the tunnel first.

Can we take all 3 please?

All three would be great, but I think it will come down to picking up either just Merrin or the other two. Merrin is asking for overs and I don't think we'd be able to afford him even after all the talent we've let go. Given JT's connections at the Roosters, I'd be putting money on the pair from Bondi.

Bit of a silly statement.

If you take stock in anything JT says he has a plan. Just because their actions are clandestine at the moment you think they're going to cease revenue raising via memberships? This club doesn't have two bob to rub together.

LOL a year ago everyone wanted him sacked, one decent year and everyone's ready to jump of the Harbour Bridge. Yes he has a good year but as a value for money proposition he was still in the red. The presser makes its clear that JT has a plan in mind and if offloading Blair is part of that so be it. He's got a reasonable record at assembling teams so I'm prepared to give him a chance.

Besides the last forward we sold them broke down a week later so maybe this is part of some warranty payment!

My sentiments are the same as you Yossarian , yeah he's had a much improved year this year and has been one of our most consistent performers but come the end of the year 2015 and we didn't sign him again ? i would of not been fussed .
I was more upset when we lost Austin .

Was underwhelmed with Blair's first year but he improved under Potter and was one of our best performers this year (not hard with the efforts witnessed.) He was never "value for money" and was always at odds due to his price tag. That said he walked from a side where he played well because everyone played their part into a team with virtually no structure. I wish him well at the Broncos and as always hopes he has a Barry against us.

I'm pretty confident that JT has an idea of whom he wants and the "no major signings for 2015" is a smokescreen given our first choice starting second row/lock combo has been released or retired. If JT is telling the truth with that statement we are in a spot of bother. In some way I hope Merrin isn't solely considered the panacea because we need more than just him to repair the second row.

Marina Go on twitter last night stated that we will be spending our full salary cap for 2015\. I assume we weren't over the cap by $1 million, so I expect there will be signings to come.

I would imagine there's some considerable coin on offer with Fulton retired and Blair gone.

I'm expecting signing news, and fairly soon as well. JT will want to get his house in order well before 2015 kicks off.

This. Blair says in the article he doesn't know his future with WT - my theory is JT would of told him that next year would be his last with WT. This coupled with the opportunity to pick up a 3 yr contract where he wants to be. Good move on his part - he could stick around for 12 months and try to improve his value on the market or take a guaranteed 3 yr contract now.

international second row Taupau and Sue
one inexperienced lock in Santi.
Sironen, Halatau on thebench.

Regardless of whatever way you want to try and spin this, it is the worst backrow in the competition. And Taupau hasn't played in the backrow for us, so he's a prop.

I am so sorry I named naiyaravoro but he would have been better than Paterson and rowe on the wing late in the season do me a favour stop nit picking . I think we are in trouble for next year we need players :bash

Well then what is Taylor talking about by saying no more signings for 2015? Unless we will spending the remainder of our salary cap for 2015 on current and ex-players like Anasta who claims he is still owed a substantial amount ($100K?) by the club.

Subterfuge perhaps?
