My sentiments entirely! We not only got two well-credentialed players, but they may persistently put in good efforts, as well. I think LM might not be the best team-contributor in all his games.

The Doueihi family questioning how appreciated he'd be at WTs, HA I hope they arent for real. If they think the Roosters care about him then they are as thick as planks. The Roosters will wipe him as soon as Billy Smith returns or Xerri signs. He'd be considered an integral part of our team, yet an understudy or back up option at the Roosters. I try not to buy into these articles but when they ?can WTs it revs me up.

A WT trainer told me last week that the players are laughing at Doueihi asking 500k plus and would be filthy if we signed him for that. Opinion at training is we already have at least equal potential already on no where near what he's asking. If he signs for massive overs and we end up pissing off every other young gun we've got we've shot ourselves in the foot (again). He was VERY doubtful Doueihi would sign.

Cant wait to hear what the WT trainer will tell you next week.

Does anyone know for sure if the Roosters interest was 100% legit? I’m wondering if they entered the race just to make Souths budge knowing full well they wouldn’t release him to them...

Quality interview. Sounds like he values hard work and discipline, happy to be home and excited to work under Madge. Qualities we need. Excited to see him get to work.

There is real strategy to our recruitment which is a welcome change. The swap deal for Harry Grant releasing an outside back in Momirovski and overnight signing Douihei makes our team much stronger. It also has a long term succession plan for Benji at 6.

Directly replacing Matterson and Marsters with The Leilua brothers. Replacing Matulino with Musgrove and remaining with 1 spot left and salary cap space is a real good outcome. Promoting youth will be key with Garner, Talau, Mikalele, Twal, Clarke stepping up.

Madge is building this a brick at a time with no shortcuts. Slowly replacing expiring inflated contracts with better younger players is really smart work.

Certainly would have been.Madge has targeted players well this off season and hopefully that is the end of the rumours involving Aitken as well
