OFFICIAL Adam Doueihi #227

Adam Doueihi = Tim Moltzen 2.0

I like both of them but again it just doesn't seem to be working out. History repeating itself!

I think all he has to do is go from thinking he is a leader and a 6 (because that is the way to money and fame) to thinking he wants to be the best player he can be (and money and fame aren't that important).
Leaving your ego at the door is sometimes easier said than done.... That said some players toss their toys if their not in the 1 jumper

"That won't happen so I really don't know where he fits in unless they could turn him into a fullback."

Posted that on Monday and today there's an opinion piece on the interweb that Brooks should be turned into a fullback.

Tigers should try Brooks at fullback: Time for a Hail Mary play to see if halfback can break out of slump

Story by Paul Suttor • 3h ago

Which one of you stooges is Paul Suttor?
I would give him a go there purely to remove the 7 from his jumper

Our pre-season was interrupted by Api and AD being at the WC, Brooks injured etc. rumoured that Reilly and Laurie were training in the halves with Simpkin at hooker. Neither of our fullbacks have shown they are NRL class. Given that it’s hard to blame coaching. Give it some time.

The world cup is probably the weakest excuse anyone could make as every other club would have had as many if not more players playing there.Every single one of those clubs is ahead of us on the competition table.Naturally i will give it more time because we have Sheens as coach for another 40+ games. With a bit of luck my blood pressure will finish the job that the crap coaching is causing

I'm of the belief AD > Brooks. Still.

AD is off this year, inexcusable.
Needs to find form in NSW cup.

Brooks is incapable of finding form and should be shown the door as soon as possible.

What's the worst outcome?

A) 2023, wooden spoon

B) 2023, wooden spoon - but have Brooks' 1m salary available to spend elsewhere ?
C) Brooks, Douhie, Laurie and Nofo go and we have all their salary to spend elsewhere.

But how many of those clubs spines have played together in the past? My point is we have new combinations in playmaker roles and those guys haven’t trained together much. I called 8 weeks before a ball was kicked and I still think it’ll take that long before it looks cohesive.
This is a professional sporting team. If they can't even get one play right over the last 3 rounds then something is seriously wrong. The spine except API need to go. Simple as that. They are all bottom 4 players.

Aahh OK... He's floated in & out of firsts eh?

That's the case for many young developing players biding their time behind an established half waiting for a chance thru either the incumbents drop in form, suspensions, injury, rep call up etc
When you look at every team's halfback, there is a pretty even spread of guys who started young and stayed in FG, and guys who were or are currently in-and-out of FG before cementing themselves.

Just cause a guy hasn't made it before his mid-20s doesn't mean he won't. Cody Walker didn't debut until he was 26. Townsend was considered an average to poor halfback until a year ago when he arrived at the Cowboys.

Started off young and stayed in FG
Broncos - Adam Reynolds
Dragons - Ben Hunt (he started off as a 14 and became a 7 after 3-4 seasons)
Eels - Mitchell Moses
Panthers - Nathan Cleary
Rabbitohs - Lachlan Ilias
Roosters - Sam Walker
Sea Eagles - DCE
Tigers - Luke Brooks
Warriors - Shaun Johnson

Floated in-and-out of FG, or started late
Bulldogs - Kyle Flanagan
Cowboys - Chad Townsend
Dolphins - Sean O'Sullivan
Knights - Jackson Hastings
Raiders - Jamal Fogarty
Sharks - Nicho Hynes
Storm - Jahrome Hughes
Titans - Tanah Boyd
