What about the older players not living up to standards?
What about the older players not living up to standards?
A very basic standard for 16 teams in the NRL but not the one south of the restI had wondered myself if his standards now include tackling.
I like his attitude here but it has to translate on the field. Need leaders, competitors and players who are passionateLikewise mate. Onwards & upwards
Funnily enough, I’ve always had a soft spot for him. Will be very interesting to see if he can come back from 3 big injuries, and if he does, what impact , if any, he has on the side. He previously had captaincy aspirations but will take some time to work out things like that.Don’t be fooled Hal, we’ve all seen him play, he’s rubbish, and refuses to tackle.
Pretty much my thoughts, I can’t wait till he’s gone.amnesia around here regardling his comments about playing 6 or happy to play reserve grade.
would hope latu fainu is fit before AD gets a run at 6
centre we are desperate he is better than naden, not the best tackler is AD but he runs an awkward style that works at centre and good goal kicker.
Ah so sorry for sooking about a sook who wants to be a footballer without the football part, that leaves you with “er”.He wants security & defined role, we're the sooks
The amnesia also grows to how everyone forgets how often they could run around AD as he wasn't able to move laterally. Major defensive problem. No point scoring 3 tries if the opposition knows they can at least score 3 tries past AD. Other than that AD is not terrible. Hope he is new and improved?
Thanks for your positivity, I'm a bit of a negative Nellie at the moment along with others. Lets hope you are right re Luai, and he doesn't fall into the sameIt wasn't so long ago that Newcastle were in our position. A string of wooden spoons, getting flogged regularly, dedicated fans despondent, etc. They were able to get off the canvas and become a competitive team. They are still a few players short of top 4 material, but they have been able to compete for the 8 in the past few years. We could do the same. It won't be this year, but Luai could be to WT what Ponga was to Newcastle.
Remember that the whole team was crap.and checked out back then.He said something similar before he started to play like shit and give up on tackling etc. I know injuries played a part, but his attitude at one stage was very poor. I hope that he leads with his actions this time
still not a big fan mate but compared to what we have now he is better in the centres than naden, filedy fataape etc and better in the halves than Sullivan.JT you were a big Doueihi hater - glad u came around
He needs some paying time under his belt before he gets a run in FG. Game time conditioning is paramount for a successful return. The step difference from contact training to Ressies is big enough - one he starts killing it there then it is time to consider a FG appearance. He also needs to be a late inclusion in the NRL team.
Stuff playing KOE.
Why would you have Faataape on the bench instead of AD?
It makes no sense at all.
I think a combination of Douehi Sezer this year and Douehi Luai is decent. Keen to see his return from injuryRemember that the whole team was crap.and checked out back then.
He is a competitor and will be very hungry to get back
