Adam Reynolds

I find it hilarious that some - including the blokes themselves think they're worth 600k plus. These are just numbers to them. Do people actually realise just how much that is? It's a crap load of money in reality. To perform as they do, there is no way in hell they're worth anywhere near that. It's totally ridiculous - outrageous. I'll now wait for the comments consisting of well, they can only ply their trade for 10 years…...do the math. 350 - 450 isn't fair -it freakin huge given they're steering the bottom side around poorly after playing along side each other for so long, with the reputation of knowing each others game inside out.

Completely agree. These two owe us at this point. They need to start winning games for us. Truthfully though they are getting closer and closer to getting moved on.

All the noise over contract value is noise though. 600K, 800K, all these numbers being thrown about by MANAGERS to see what sticks, what fits.

NRL clubs pay what they think someone is worth to them, not what the media or manager says. So let clubs talk to Moses or Brooks ad nauseum, the real point is whether they are willing to spend big bucks to bring them across.

I am expecting, at this stage, not… unless there is some massive upside they think Broses would have away from Tigers, or if their own future stocks are so poor as to make them desperate.

Reynolds is never leaving Souths and that's that. Type of guy who'd rather play reserve grade or head to England.

I'm not so sure about that.

He requested a release in the off season..

Milky he denied asking for a release. Signed with the Rabbitohs for another two years.
Let's see what happens after that.

He was **rumoured** to have requested a release in the off season and that same rumour linked him to the Gold Coast. If that was true then he was probably being offered a significant portion of the DCE contract (i.e. double his current half a million contract). I'm sure with enough money he could be separated from Souths but I don't think we should be paying that sort of money. He would be playing behind a very different pack here and within a different attacking structure.

No, 100% agree - If it's is true (that they're chasing anywhere near 600K) then that's just offensive..

He was rumoured to ask for the release after he signed his contract just letting everyone know

Has it been confirmed the two are asking for $800,000 +?

Where did this figure come from? It's too much for two 20 year olds…They still could be great players but at this point in their careers no way.

if i was dealing with brooks and moses, i would make them a offer of $400,000 a season climbing to $500,000 if they were to gain SOO football or make the aust side. other than that see u later boys.

It's obviously more than 600k - Or they'd have triggered the final year.

Exactly - we have to pay them this next year if they choose to take up the option. You'd think they would jump at the opportunity.

Would be a yes from me.

He also was a balmain junior for a while there and played with Woodsy - dredged up the article. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/south-sydney-star-adam-reynolds-admits-he-grew-up-idolising-wests-tigers-champion-benji-marshall/story-fni3fbgz-1226705315308

If Broses are asking for $800k, Reynolds will be asking for a fair bit more.
He's great, and would compliment Moses really well, but this will never happen given the way we operate.

They may be asking for that but they won't get it, and I doubt he will either. He might get $700-$750K though from a club that is desperate for halves like the Dragons.

I think we pretty much agree that if given the reigns, Moses would pretty much run the team around on his own & needs a 'foil' type of player next to him.

Blake Green has been mentioned.

What if…. and this is about to set the mob off.... a player like Daniel Mortimer was brought in?

No thanks, he's not even close to being a first choice half at the Titans. He doesn't really offer anything.

Albert Kelly wasn't the worst half running around the competition when he went off to ESL. He's a great ball runner and looks to have continued that in ESL (albeit he's added a few unhealthy pounds). I'd prefer him to Mortimer or Green.
