Addo Carr signs with Storm...

If he's trying to back out then the signs of him going aren't good. No club forces players to honour contracts these days. Why have a player in your side whose hearts not in it.

Yeah agree, contracts nowadays are not worth the toilet paper they are written on. So if he want's to get out I am sure there are plenty of compassionate grounds he could use.

We have a kid who grew up supporting the club, a genuine NRL crowd pleaser with speed to burn who wanted to stay, he didn't want the earth to re-sign, so one wonders how we got to this stage. :crazy

Yes it is Ali but he just posted

"The Melbourne Storm have announced the signing of Wests Tigers rookie Josh Addo-Carr on a 3 year deal starting from season 2017."

Player agents. You can be sure his agent was telling him to take the money and run to Melbourne from the earliest point possible. And every day after that.

This was possibly during the Milone in first grade saga, so he may have eventually relented due to getting the annoyed, but now that he's playing and in a happy living environment at home he may not be so sure. Would be a massive call for him to move away from his entire family. But the 10 days are up so it gets complicated. Just a theory on my part.

They seemingly weren't offering overs in any case so it wouldn't be hard to match what they're offering.

Well he is wrong on at least 1 point, Melbourne hasn't announced it. If they have signed him they certainly wouldn't announce it on the same day as origin.

Strange thing is Ali always seems to announce things about an hour after someone else already has.

yeah agree, hard to believe Melb would announce anything this arvo…that's definitely not happening.

If he leaves us, it's disappointing, and i will feel like i did with Marty and many others, but life goes on, and you never know who's just around the corner and what will happen to Addo Carr in the future.

Everyone should relax. Melbourne rumour around for ages nothing announced. If something official and final had happened would've heard by now. It's been like 5 or 6 weeks since first reported

Him leaving would undo all the good work done over the last few weeks getting our squad in order. It would drain a bit of my enthusiasm for the progress made tbh. The club needs to get this right.

JAC has signed with Melbourne, but trying to back out of it, hence why no announcement has happened. 10 Day cooling off period has expired so agreement will need to be reached between Melbourne & Tigers.
He doesn't want to leave Sydney !

And how do you know this??

He doesnt…people just won't know if its true or not

THE POM has good mail Milky. Don't be too quick to shoot him down. I hope JAC is able to pull out of this deal though, I'd love to see him remain a Tiger.

Tim Moltzen saga all over again, hope this is true because Melbourne won't take him if he doesn't wanna go.

Not only Timmy Molz but Teddy too, dangled the carrot to the raiders and sidestepped them back to the Tigers

I have a fair idea of what prompted him to start to look around at other options. :astonished:
