Addo Carr signs with Storm...

Stop making threads about this please. This has been going around for about 6 weeks now and Melbourne have not announced the signing.

All the talk is he's agreed to go but is now trying to stay. Still no announcement from storm. Seems like they are working it out

The longer this gets drawn out the better it looks for us imo. What's that old saying about no news being good news. It would take time to negotiate a release than come to terms to a contract with us. Fingers and toes crossed that that is why both clubs have remained silent the last couple of weeks.

Yeah spot on. Clearly some negotiations are going on, would definitely take some time to organise all of that. I'm with you, remaining hopeful.

He'd just been signed to the club from Sharks 20s and you want the club to extend him with a new contract before a ball had been kicked?

Idiot

And what, continous improvement within the club is not ongoing? That because we have him for one year we rest and wait for the club's who have set a higher bar in terms of performance on and off the field to come and take him? Funny way to run a business and questions need to be asked about our professional coaching staff!

And come on, be constructive!

I think there is a difference between 'waiting for other clubs …to take him' and waiting to see if he fills your needs and is worth keeping. The latter is good business. You dont just buy someone at ANY price because another team wants him.

There are some overpaid players with us due to past agreements. Do we need more?

And here is a fact. There are 10 players desperate for a gig in the show for every player that leaves. If JAC turns out to be the next immortal, then letting him go (provided you have the $$$) was a bad move. I think the chances are he isnt. If others are prepared to take a risk, then that is their call. We are already taking 'risks' with many others.

"The big thing for me was just living in a stable home and being happy. That's when I play my best football. "For personal reasons I was moving from house to house, family houses and that and I just stuck with my footy and ended up at the Tigers. **"I'm now living with my mum and my aunty in** **Leichhardt**. **Ever since I moved back into home I've been playing my best football.** **I'm just happy and that's all I ever wanted and play football.** "I'm making them proud and that's all I've ever wanted. Just to make my family proud and live my life."

I hold onto this hope - JAC quoted in an article on NRL.com, which was recently posted on here by Newtown.

Melbourne is a loooong way from Leichhardt and it sounds like he has had enough of moving house for a while. Come on Mumma Jac and Aunty Jac (lol) - convince him to stay!!!

A winger for me nowadays needs to take the dirty hit-ups as well as be a great finisher in dry conditions. I will be very interested to see whether JAC can make metres in the slop today. I know Noffa will put his hand up and do the hard yards when required.

If he can have an impact today, he is a keeper. If not then not the greatest loss.

Hi Flipeddy, JAC's remarks about how much he values family and home life really emphasise why in my opinion he will stay with the tigers.

Technically it's Mumma AC and Aunty Ac.

Its all about priorities and leaving wingers until last makes sense. The issue is we are loosing low cost wingers with huge upside which, is concerning. (Koro & JAC). It does not make sense for a young club building a roster. The blind support of Rankin would have contributed and I suspect the delay in Moses and Brooks taking options along with resigning of forwards would have played a part.

There is a bigger issue at play and that is the release of players that have potential but NEED COACHING.
Problem is Taylor is not qualified to shine Bellamys shoes.

Doesn't need to - he wears suede shoes.

We've pulled a young man from the Under 20s and put him in the front row and he has been excellent. This is one of the hardest positions on the field! JAC was not up against a first grade winger. He was up against a former inside back who had played in the ESL not the NRL!

Incorrect - he has played in the NRL.

Isn't that just a repeat of the SMH article

Yes it is, the link is at the bottom of the Zero Tackle article.
It is not even a feature article on the SMH, rather just a stocking filler piece from one of their columnist who appears has been trolling this forum again.

It been in the papers since Friday, but it's not major news except to us.
Hardly a front or back page rating
I think if it wasn't correct WTs would have been pouring cold water on it long before now, as it doesn't make them look very smart.
But I hope I'm mistaken.

The Melbourne Storm have signed Wests Tigers flyer Josh Addo-Carr on a three-year deal.
