Alex Seyfarth #232

I think he has been a little hesitant in his defence since recovering from injuries, there is a hesitancy there and the urgency doesn't seem to be there anymore, I think it is a psychological/confidence issue.

To me it really stands out when you consider how outstanding his defence was on debut.
Could be on the mark their hank, could be in his head not to risk stretching/impacting the shoulder if when making a tackle caused the injury backend season 24.

no need to carry on when you don't , the way that you do,people who speak to people face 2 face like that normal ends up 1 way , do you suffer road rage also , lol

I think that is right and that is the way that I treat all on here and elsewhere, with the respect that they deserve. Especially the paedophile in chief supporters, and happy to call them out in any situation.

I do suffer from road rage, but in a very internal way. Maybe not so much if you get out of your vehicle and head towards mine, which Seyfarth probably would.

With his height he needs to be careful how he tackles, if he tries to put a big hit on it could end in sin bin or suspension I.e. NAS
It also depends on which way the wind is blowing and the interpretations the refs wish to apply that week. It always seems to work against us (and Alex)

I think Alex had a kid this year or last didn't he? That can impact someone more than it gets credit ( the impact on family life, sleep etc)

Sorry to break it to you all but Seyfarth is an integral part to this team. The coaching staff obviously agree with the news of him being in the leadership group.
Being in the leadership group doesn't mean you get a free ride into the run on side, there's a lot of new recruits that will be pushing for a spot next season with some depth at last.

He may find himself leading from reserve grade if Bunty stands and delivers which I expect him to do there's one already that's in front of him, he's going to find it tough to break into the side.

You contribute nothing, continually blaming fringe players for the teams failure and never ever comment on the real reasons why we cannot make the top 8.
Like a few of your friends you want all supporters to believe our highly paid players are gods gift to rugby league and abuse anyone that doesn’t agree.
Our top 3 players are clearly the worst of any clubs top 3 players across the NRL.
That last comment is bullshit x100. You telling me there’s teams who wouldn’t trade thier top 3 for luai , Korisau and Terrell May ?
The dragons ? Manly ? Newcastle ? Even the warriors ? The bears next year … that’s such hyperbole . You reckon the raiders wouldn’t have a long hard think about swapping strange , Weekes and Tapine … I mean I wouldn’t do it , but it’s a lot closer than people may think . Even the cowboys … you reckon they wouldn’t consider drinkwater , Deardon and Nanai for our top 3 . Once again , it’s close .
Some of you guys talk sooo much shit . It’s unbearable to read . I’d even suggest the dogs would consider it , considering they wanted all 3 as preferences to whatever is there right now ie. they went in ahead for luai and May , and ended up with Thompson and Galvin . They went in real hard for Api as well . Man and I totally forgot about the eels . You reckon they’re not trading a washed Paulo , a 32 year old Moses and a done nothing yet Ilongi for our top 3 , now lomax isn’t there anymore ? How many seconds you reckon it would take for them agree … I put money on 1/10th of Pico second ….theyre absolutely screwed next season now lomax has gone . He was 50% of thier offense , and worked his rear end off out of yardage .

Also Seyfarth is fine as an energy guy off the bench . His biggest asset is he’s in the game when he’s on . You know he’s out there for good or bad . Heaps of players come on and you end up after the game wondering what minutes they played … and you find out is was 30… hello Adam Blair !
Thats real asset . I think the problem for Alex is he has some refs will real confirmation bias against him , because his year 23 and 24 especially 23, he was extremely ill disciplined and stupid to be honest . Some of the penalties “he gave away “ in 24 were beyond biased in my opinion, where he had to change his game or tone it down a bit in 25. Of which he mostly succeeded . He trains hard , works hard in the gym , is a loud voice in training and helps drive standards . He has his defined role of 17th man / 18th man … and that should lead to success this year.

I love that seyfarth discussion has dominated this offseason.

Do people think we will be able to keep him away from R360 or will the dollars he could make mean we need to release him?
i think we should stand firm up until the point they make an offer, any offer, then releease him as a matter of urgency.

Damn, seeing this blokes thread trending, I was hoping it was breaking news he was leaving to play for the Grafton Ghosts or Muswellbrook Rams. Somewhere in his league.

The Tigers are going nowhere next year if this bloke is anywhere near the top 17.

The only time it would be 1% acceptable would be after RD20 if there are 5 injuries in front of him and the ball boy isnt available to play in the 17 jersey.

Benji and Richo need their heads read if they think a player of his calibre is what it takes. If he is named anywhere near the top squad it tells us everything we need to know if those 2 are serious or taking the piss again in 26.

Bet he used chatgpt. No way he knows what 'integral' means.

No surprise a Magpie supporter would revel in mediocre players being “integral” to the team 🤣

Still waiting for you to point out which of Seyfarths laughable stats I “cherry-picked” but I won’t hold my breath.

R360 would pay to keep him away. Imagine the fall in viewership after watching Seyfarths “hit-ups”

A lot of us including myself want our club legend to succeed at coaching but I agree with you Winston if he can't wake up to fact that with all the new recruits there's a better option, then one has to question his line of thinking pointing to bias.

It's just not on the best performer gets the spot.
