And then we can start the rebuild. We're only 6 months in to our rebuild, even though we've been rebuilding for 10 years now.

Sacking everyone doesn't work if we don't have a plan.

We're overdue for a football review by a Gould type person. Maybe Sheens does this if he ever gets here. Hopefully then they can interview the entire football department and decide who we get rid of.

Like most, I have no idea where the problem is, but something is rotten at the club. When I hear the CEO of the club say "We're not sure why all the changes haven't resulted in on field success" it doesn't look good for him.

I was quite surprised too with his comment. Both 2010 and 2011, in my view , were successful seasons .

Never conduct a review unless you know what the findings are going to be beforehand!

There will be a couple of sacrifices - an assistant our two.

delusional Lee at it again. for a bloke that's a self-professed tigers diehard he seems like he's been around for 5 minutes the way he talks in the media.

we haven't finished in the top half of a salary cap-controlled competition for 10 years. it doesn't matter if it was the previous administration to blame, that is inexcusable. due to that lack of success, our "perception" as he calls it is at an all time low. we can talk about the youngsters coming through and the Centre of Excellence all we want, but there's no identity, no pride in the jersey, and it's been the same since 2012. I worry that Sheens will be conducting the review. he'll see the football department and the new facilities that he never had access to and think it's all sunshine and daisies. would much rather it be conducted by a truly external source. the club reeks of failure, it has for years. fix it.

When the chairman says everything’s all good it usually means that there’s a lot of drama going on behind closed doors
He said he doesn’t like using the guarantee word which means a few players & staff will not be at the club next year or will be in reserve grade

..particularly when most supporters and objective judges vehemently disagree.
Saying it publicly for the sake of stability and continuity just paints himself into a corner to maintain mediocrity

You should read some articles by Ben Darwin, the former rugby prop and now sports data analyst. He actually purports that "cohesion" is key to success in sport, and cohesion is often driven by stability / repeated effort.

I like to visit these threads and see people get triggered by Lee. He was actually fairly moderate in this one - acknowledging the failures and supporting his senior management. Nothing weird or out-there about that.

But people still getting triggered. If Pascoe or Hartigan aren't fronting the media, nor Sheens, and it's only Madge doing most of the talking, who is going to field the questions on behalf of club management, if not Lee? That's part of his role.

If Pascoe comes out and makes the same comments, another group again gets triggered by Pascoe and starts ranting about haircuts and stubble.

Why would it never happen? It must happen. There's no doubt about it. Not all at once, but we can't tolerate and even reward persistent failure.
