He’s basically said that regardless of how poorly key staff members perform they are guaranteed job security. That should never be the case, in any organisation. There has to be a line.

That isn't what he said though. That's your spin on it.

That is actually what he said.

Pascoe, Hartigan - safe.
Brooks will be here in 2022.

The only one he perhaps left a little wriggle room is with Madge whom we gave the standard he's got a contract till 2023 and we expect him to fulfil his obligations.

He didn't comment on the board because no one has the balls to, and he essentially is the board. We can't protest at Wests Ashfield to get the board out, we'll need to organise a different sort of protest but not just a change petition. Not sure what works in this current climate.

What is happening behind the scenes is most important. Actions speak louder than words. Bringing Sheens in to do a review is a positive decision. I believe Sheens will come to make a positive difference. I am comforted by the knowledge Sheens as a coach is the antithesis of Maguire.

Sheens is not and won't be the coach.

Agree 100%. But he’ll be an excellent coaching director to someone like Ciraldo or Gardiner.

I can not see Gardiner as an assistant next season .. he is a teacher and I would expect he would want to keep his job .
If Maguire is here next season he will be gone by round 8 then we’re does that leave Gardiner yep in the midst of a club in turmoil!

Do you not remember your past posts? Your continual dig for Sheens to be there, is not going to happen.

I'm not sure, perhaps someone from the club could advise. We did get that advice he had asked for lists from clubs.

It’s a footy club, not the Wild West.

The other concerning things about Lee's comments is Pascoe was front and centre when the club decided to turn it's back on juniors. A bewildering and incredibly poor and unjustifiable option. He just accepted that we won't invest in juniors, won't develop talent and will only look to recruit from outside the club. This call was made on his watch and has put us back years.
Just because we're reverting back to a previous system, and a system that nearly all other clubs use, doesn't made Madge, Hartigan or Pascoe geniuses. They've just gone back to the classic, default model.
We're currently 6 months in to the latest rebuild. Anyone can steer the ship from here. We need the right people making the right calls on you is steering the ship. Seeing these people have repeatedly failed, i don't think they should be entrusted.

What’s the point ?

With an out of town membership you don't get game entry which makes is much better for your mental health.

Needs an overhaul from the top to the bottom.

Better policy and procedures in place regarding professionalism and code of conduct.

Having Lee and Pascoe say and do the things they do is not a good look for anyone.

Only thing I will say is at least Madge recognised the importance of junior pathways and has done something about getting the pathways back on track so we can develop from within again.....we need juniors....Madge wasnt here when they chose not to invest in the junior systems,he should be congratulated for at least seeing what the others ignored...

Its not a good thing when board and ceo get too involved in football and it's good practice to let coach do his thing. Problem is pascoe backed/hired the wrong people which noone has been accountable for.

Certain things like having a good youth setup should just be a club value, permanently part of the organisation regardless of board, ceo, or coach.

The only possible excuse i can see was a lack of resources, and if that's the case focusing on the senior setup is understandable, but really it's not good enough, this is an investment that we need to make.

We need to refocus on juniors again or we're in real trouble. If we play the game of just buying players we will be dead. We all know how that's been going lately so it is a worry.
