Sad thing is - if we do sign him, He'd probably be our best back rower…

Yep the club must seriously look at trading Brooks for a quality back rower if he can't live up to the hype in 2017

Not sure how much value we'd get in trade for an out of contract player mate.

We'd have the money originally allocated for Brooks.

happy obviously believes as do a few others that NRL clubs recruitment works like trades in fantasy league…don't worry about if the targeted player actually wants to come here..Ok I'll run with it..

Brooks OUT Taumalolo IN...both off contract..

Since when do clubs trade players?

You know what I mean

Sell Brooks to the highest bidder and then use his $$$'s to buy a quality back rower

He'd be great in helping out our younger second rowers develop their game. He would be one injury away from retirement though and his price would have to be as such. I wouldn't be against it if he was fit and passed his medicals.

Would not be interested in the slightest. He's not what we need. We'd need players that can lead by example on the field, or be vocal leaders during a match or at training. He's none of these. Just an old an injury prone player.

I feel that he would be an astute buy for one season at the right money,he's always been a backrower, not manufactured and can pass on some value

Can't trade out a HB for a 2RF in fantasy league … just sayin' .

Geez I can't wait for the day that we can finally stop having to buy players from the 'old blokes' home!

Who have we bought from the old blokes home in the last 10 years?

Bwwwaaaaaiith. (shudder)

He was only 30-31 when we got him. He was lazy, crap and a jerk but not particularly old…

There are not many players who are over 30 who still perform at the top level (of course there are exceptions)it is always a huge gamble to sign them.Injuries catch up to all of them

I doubt we could afford him with all the money we are throwing at Taumalolo.

We don't have to pay Taumalolo much. I hear he's busting to come to the club.
I think he feels that it is a good career move. :roll
