Are We Still A Bottom 4 Side GNR??

Another set of six in our red zone ,Taupau's error another set of six in our red zone ,Patty kicking off out on the full ,another set of six in our red zone

Amounts to an extra 18 tackles against a team we barely were hanging in against

The mistakes were big weren't they.

Silly mistakes have cost us badly so far this year. Nobody (I think) has mentioned the penalty that Sue gave away last night just after he scrambled to tackle Pearce who had made a half break. I thought he did well to get him but then gave away a silly penalty which lead to a try because he didn't get off him in time. Silly plays like that show we have the talent but not the discipline to match it with the big sides. That & not having enough impact off the bench. I still think the boys kept trying to the end last but it's just that lack of concentration that costs us.

We have a young side, it will be a roller coaster ride for a while.

The Sue penalty was probably needed , the Roosters were on a roll and we needed to slow them down

Whilst we have a young side it's the more experienced players who are making the costly mistakes.

Played like a bottom 4 side last Friday….we showed absolutely nothing to suggest we are semis material

We struck the Chooks at a bad time, they were "on" from the kickoff, with JW-H particularly fired up. Our right edge was heavily targeted and under great strain, then when Keefy went to the bench the momentum they already had was amplified two-fold. I was hoping that Taylor might juggle things to address our edge with the interchange and place the more aggressive Sue out there to pressure Cordner or get Halatau out there earlier.

I simply shrugged my shoulders when Farah just missed the 40/20 attempt as I saw it as an option to get their foot off our throat that was plunged deeply into our Adam's apple. I am normally one to have a shot at him over many of his choices, but he cannot be blamed for the errors that followed.

I think that this was the no 1 issue in that loss. Get that right and then we can assess where we are at.

Really thought Pearce milked it - he seemed to dive backwards not much Jesse could do about it.Just another crap discretionary penalty.

refs again
Yep - have been vocal about the standard of refereeing this year, I own that.Another couple of clangers the other night - however no bearing on the game, maybe just the score. We were never really in it.

I really don't think we are a bottom 4 side. Yeah, we were flat against the Chooks and got what we deserved but I think we're a genuine mid-field team at the moment.
