@mike said:Sorry Happy but who cares. You are looking at it as if this will never change. It is changing and there is Wests Tigers and that's it. As Geo has stated Wests Ashfield supports the Wests Tigers. Every Board no matter of what organisation has board members that have their own agendas. That does not stop the Board functioning as a unit in the best interest of the organisation. I see it everyday. Don't misunderstand in that I think everything is perfect, it's not. But to change direction again now would be very destructive indeed. The Board is evolving, dealing with crises as they occur. Changing tact and personell throughout the organisation. The review of the operations is a very good punctuation mark, this is where we are now. We need to be here, now how do we get there.

I'm not looking at it as if things can't change
But unless we change the constitution nothing will really change no matter spin or angle you put on it Mike
And how can we change the constitution if Balmain or Wests don't want to change the constitution
Legally would be a very costly affair , so the only other option is for one member to disappear
So are the NRL coming into this with an agenda as I have said all along ??

Wests willy wagtails … I just want to support a team that doesn't air it's dirty laundry out in public and a team that rips in and has a friggin go week in week out .
Am I asking too much ????????

@happy tiger said:@Geo. said:Well Wests Ashfield has gone on record to say that if Balmain are unable to pay their debt ..that there is no way will they consider returning the Magpies …It is WESTS TIGERS all the way...i think that shows there only interest is Wests Tigers....in the NRL..
That's while the independent board is there Geo , what happens when the NRL hands 50% back to Balmain when they are finished ??
The only other thing the NRL could do is destroy one of the two JV partners through the independent board in the available time frame
@Geo. said:Arghh… I spell it out then as far as Wests are concerned....
There will be no attempt by his organisation to change the Wests Tigers name to the Magpies,
and this
He also scotched speculation the NRL team would relocate to Perth.
and this
"The name and logo of the entity has formed part of our licensing agreement with the NRL," Cook said on Wednesday. "Therefore, any changes in shareholding will have no impact on the name, colour or logos of the organisation.
and finally this
"The NRL licence is between the NRL and the Wests Tigers and not the shareholders. The shareholders are not connected to the licence. From Wests Ashfield perspective it will have no impact on the Wests Tigers."
Do you still think Wests do not have Wests Tigers interest at heart?
@Geo. said:Well if you want to base your opinion on hearsay that's your prerogative… me I'd rather facts
@willow said:Way too much hypothesising going here in this thread. We suck. The end.
@Tiger Watto said:Without seeing the clubs financials year to year, it is very hard to gauge if the operation is a successful one, or a failure…
From all the stories I have heard, they all tend to point towards a fractured relationship between the owners and if each owner is simply focused on there themselves, the idea of the new identity being successful is a long bow to play...
Success on the football field should not be a gauge to the success of the company. If the company is operating at a profit, and showing a ROI to its owners, it is a suitable and viable operation.

Posts like this annoy the s*** out of me. Who said anyone is forced to support the club? Everyone who spends time posting on a forum like this one is obviously a fan of the club, they are just rightfully disgruntled that we have been a failure for 13 out of 15 years.
@Telltails said:The word failure annoys the s#*% out of me and is not even close to feeling "disgruntled". Failure for 13 out 15 years - how so? Grandfinal winners after 5 years with a team of mostly local juniors. 1 point from another grandfinal appearance in 2010 and major semi final in 2011\. Cleanout in 2012 and rebuilding in 2013/2014 again with mostly local juniors on a limited budget. That's not good enough for you - I stand by my comment.
