Checked the official website…what a surprise no information !
No it won't be at Campbelltown but it sounded better than Hillier or Concord.

For those in the know what did you think of the number 7 Billy Kitt in the Harold Mathews ? For his age he seemed like a mature halfback. His kicking game was great and constantly turned the Raiders around. His passing game was spot on also and he laid on three tries for his outside backs. He also wasn't afraid to mix it up with the big boys in defence.

I've watched a fair bit of junior rep footy over the past few years but can't remember a better display from a halfback at this level. Definitely one kid to look out for in the future IMO.

Yes one of Warren's better country signings. I knew he was good but like you I was surprised and impressed with his willingness to mix it in Defence.

I was watching him closely directing players where to stand and what to do to get ready for the next play,he knows what to do and who to give the ball to, he looked and played professionally. …He didn't seem to have a long kicking game but his kicks where well placed...Yep his a good one.

I know Billy from the U/15 Aust Schoolboys C'Ships in Adelaide last year - he's from Bathurst.
He played in the NSW CIS team which were comprehensively hammered in each game - no fault of Billy's or the team - they were all sick as with flu and the side was made up with predominately Union players ( especially the forwards )- actually from memory Billy hurt his shoulder and missed the last game or two.
He goes all right from what I saw but might be a little "kick happy" for mine - it was tough watching that team and not seeing the faint smell of opportunities given to the outside boys whilst the team wasn't getting much ball due to the score line…...
Either way he seemed like a good kid with some qualities and I wish him all the best in his future.

Billy the kid is an alright half back, very good at leading the team around and barks instructions like any professional halfback. His defence does need to aim up a bit, but I belive, just like Robert Lui from last year if he just keeps on improving his D (or moreso his positioning when in defence) he might be an alright half back.

A player you really should be on the look out for, also in the Wests HM's team is Alex Tette. I belive he maybe signed for the WT's and put on a scholarship (don't quote me on that). He was injured last week against the Bulldogs, but I think he might be available for the Silvertail's game. I really hope he does, plus we might also have Kyle Adam's back, which will be good for depth. I am really hoping that Bucky has a good game upfront as we might need it for the next game.

It should be very interesting both sides are playing well and the Maggies would love to keep their ubeaten record in tact…

Billy Kitt is a half back and plays like a half back. His the Matt Orford/Brett Kimmorley type half.
You have to admire a 16 year old who as you say… does a professional job of leading the team around the park. Those type of players are hard to find. The more I see of him the more I like him.

I know they don't get many raps but I like a couple of the wingers at Wests Daniel Tavae in the Harold Matts and James Tedesco in SG Ball. Both seem to know how to find that try line and back it up with solid defence.

Did anyone see Wests Matts team play yesterday, I know they were soundly beaten by Manly 44-16 but would be interested to know to know if it was just a poor performance or were they outplayed. How did Billy the Kid go and did Harry Grove play.

Round 4 of the Junior Reps saw Wests take on rivals Manly at Hillier.

Harold Mathews suffered the first loss of the season by getting smashed by Manly 44-16\. The loss was a shock to me as I thought they would completely dominate the game, I guess anything is possible at this age level. Hopefully they will bounce back next weekend.

The SG Ball remain unbeaten so far this season with another win over Manly 32-26\. By all reports it was a good comeback by the Ball team after trailing earlier in the match. The Magpies are the only unbeaten team in the competition and will hopefully continue this form over the remaining games.

Round 5, next Saturday sees Wests Magpies take on St George at Kogarah.

FULL TIME (Harold Matthews) Balmain 34 def SWSAS 6
HALF TIME (Harold Matthews) Wests 12 lead St George 4

Full time (HM) Wests 18 St George 12
Full time (SG Ball) Wests 54 St George 0

I got this off NSWRL gamecast, so I don't know how accurate it is, but a good result for both team especially SG Ball.

Hopefully, the HM can field their strongest squad for Parra next week as we are going to need everyone on deck and ready (except for Bucky who will be out for another two or so weeks)…

FULL TIME (Harold Matthews) Parramatta 28 def. Western Suburbs 26 (Win/Loss record to date 4 - 2)
FULL TIME (SG Ball) Western Suburbs 32 def Parramatta 14 (Win/Loss record to date 6 - 0)

FULL TIME (Harold Matthews) Roosters 28 def Balmain 12 (Win/Loss record to date 3 - 2\. + 1 bye)

Great effort by Wests in both grades, Parramatta are strong in both

In HM the Eels had scored 222 and only conceded 16 points (average 56-4) in their opening 4 games so scoring 26 and only going down by 2 was a great effort.

Parramatta never looked like losing in Harold Matts ..a late try in the hot conditions made the score respectable.

Why is Billy Kitt not starting the game ??????

Great coaching plan having him come on with 10 minutes left in the 1st half…brilliant ! 😕

Different story in SG Ball they never looked like losing ..The forwards dominated ..Matthew Groat the star of the show.

In the SG Ball the forwards got over the Parramatta pack. Matthew Groat was in everything, taking the ball up, tackling, offloading and backing up down the wing to score.Sam Atuau controlled the middle..only gave away one penalty and Inno Inosesio was unstoppable. Wests varied their usual game plan held the ball and Brassington gave them good field position with his kicks then they just smashed the Parramatta pack which resulted in dropped ball and good field position. They never looked like losing and full credit to the backs who moved up quickly and never let the Parramatta monster backline get going.

In the Harold Matts I don't know why Billy Kitt the only player in the team with a Wests Tigers contract is starting on the bench. The HM Parramatta team is as big as their SG Ball team they led 14-0 at half time. They led 28-10 late in the second half, Wests scored late tries in the hot conditions but realistically no one will beat this Parramatta team.

Don't bet your house on it Blackandwhite, the HM boys have some tricks under their sleaves to beat this Parra team (who I must say have domiaated the comp). If the HM team gets the chance to play them in the finals you might see a more aggressive and structured attacking team.

Billy Kitt isn't the only player on a WT contract in the HM team, and I believe the coach has the players best interest at heart, Parra's players would have peppered him all day and the score would have been a blow out.

The SG Ball squad should really go all the way this year, and I said this before the season even started. Top quality juniors and should really kick on in the Under 20's squad for the WT next year.

FULL TIME (Harold Matthews) Western Suburbs 28 def Central Coast 16
HALF TIME (SG Ball) Western Suburbs 12 lead Central Coast 4

FULL TIME (Harold Matthews) Penrith 22 def. Balmain 14

FULL TIME (SG Ball) Penrith 42 def. Balmain 14

Allright people, The Junior Magpies game has been moved from Mexico to Hillier Oval, Liverpool.

If possible, the boys would love to see you out there and support them.

SG Ball is at 1:30pm (so melbourne have time to get home)

Matts v SWSAS (local derby) will follow it at 3pm

Bring your Wests jerseys and support the boys and lets keep their unbeaten run going.
