Glad you liked it….was just reiterating what i had said to willow a few weeks ago.

You cant help yourself though can you.

Tiger4ever its the 'exmagpies' fans that cause a stir on this forum because we are getting a massive raw deal mate from our Club.

You dont see 'exbalmain' fans upset because Balmain have EVERYTHING in there favour. You try and answer my question, Name one disadvantage that Balmain have in this JV ??

Try and name one !!!!!!!!

You cant !!!

That is my point. You and Willow cant see it because you dont want to see it.

That is why we 'exmagpies' cause a stir. Because SHEENS & HUMPHREYS treat us like rubbish.

If you cant see how ''waaaaah mommy he stole my ball" your post is then I dunno…

I guess it looks like that but it only because what i said to willow a few weeks back that is all..

Its no where near as childish as you going back 2 years to prove a point what tiger05 thought about moltzen….as if you dont be a hypocrit.....heh i did find it funny but when you think about it its immature isnt it.

You love doing this thats half of your post having a shot at someone when it doesnt concern you

Close it and every other one like this it becomes a balmain wests thing despite him saying it dont.He makes it.

From the outside looking in id say he doesnt support wests tigers he does nothing but rubbish them.

HARDLY a post that isnt having a stab at them in some capacity.

It makes for vigorous and robust discussion. Nothing wrong with that is there? Bug has said countless times he supports WT's and I for one believe him. Granted he has an unhealthy obsession with Timbo Sheens but I put that down to a man crush

bug, just an aside, who orchestrated Balmain's hijacking of the event? Was it a WT official or Balmain official?

If it was a WT official then you (Wests) would clearly have every right to feel hard done by, but if it was a Balmain official then should you not instead direct your rage and anger at the incompetency of the Wests organisation for not thinking of this idea first?

There is a key distinction between those two. If you can find an answer to that then report back then we can all construct a better argument, otherwise you are simply demonstrating jealousy and envy towards someone or something else.

Im sure without knowing exactly how the joint venture works internally you cant say it.

But please tell me apart from nevilles the brett side in a lowly 2nd grade comp get and wests get the rest…..what else is your problem and how these problems come about.....

What is it not enough home game at c-town no white v.

Instead of whining about it find out the real reason why ....from the west side of the jv

Since this thread is slowly going off topic, may I please remind all members to stay on topic. If no one can answer Bug's question or provide the winning numbers to this week's Lotto, I suggest not posting at all for I sense this thread will disintegrate and end up being closed.

I don't see what the big deal is? Same team?
Tigers, Magpies, Wests Tigers all the same team. One day it'll be just Wests Tigers events at the ball but we're still young and hardly have a history. So that said I'm prepared to honor the traditions of both former entities.
I've dealt with it, have you?

I agree. Wests tigers has sanctioned the event, so you would assume the wests group is aware in some sort of capacity.

On this topic, more facts are required. This is probably a recurring theme on this forum.

In saying that, bug does highlight some relevant concerns about the perception of wests tigers in the market place. Many may not agree (I certainly need convincing on some statements) but some of these concerns were actually recognised by the CEO in his report to the wests group (minutes posted elsewhere in another thread). This highlights a frustrating factor in some of the earlier posts on this thread and in other parts of the forum. It is not a conducive place to provide your thoughts and opinion when members with their own agenda run to moderators because opinions differ.

1\. We dont play 12 games at Leichhardt anymore 😢
2\. Lost 'Balmain'

Is there a reason the Maggies can't have their Hall of Fame night on the same night as well?
If it's because they choose not to then you have to look at the 'hijacking ' in a different perspective.
That would mean that Balmain has embraced the joint venture by holding it's important event at a joint venture function
That would then imply Wests want to keep their traditional night completely separate from the joint venture evening.
That's fine and they are entitled to their choice - but which part of the joint venture doesn't seem to want to share its past with the future?
Looking from outside the answer to that question is simple - Western Suburbs.
Over the years I have been one of the most fanatical and one- eyed Balmain supporters ever put on Earth but I'm happy to embrace Wests past into the new club.
Let's face it - no matter what anyone would like to change WestsTigers is a done deal.
Time to live with it.

It sounds like WT have hijacked the Balmain Gala Ball… WT must feel pretty comfortable with the happenings out Balmain way to tag along onto thier Gala Ball, give all there WT players to BRET... It must be a big THANKYOU for thier ongoing support and faith in the way the WT are managing thier investment...

Maybe the Magpies need to take note?!

Thats a pretty provocative post fro a moderator Tiger Watto - i though your supposed to keep the peace not wave a red flag at a bull.

It's all a matter of perspective and which way you look at it Bug. Not all Western Suburbs Magpies fans share your views.

How about this for a change of perspective. The joint venture is a homecoming. Wests Tigers have based themselves at Concord Oval, once known as St Lukes. Western Suburbs Magpies played 34 games at St Lukes between 1910 and 1942\. Concord as a home base is within the traditional western suburbs magpies area, close to our two spiritual homes, Pratten Park at Ashfield (where we played 320 games between 1912 and 1985, winning 178), and Lidcombe Oval (where we played 199 games between 1951 and 1986, winning 107 matches).

We've even managed to 'con' Balmain into letting us play 4 home games a year within cooee of our homeland. And, better still, while Western Suburbs Magpies will continue with their Black and White Ball etc, those 'silly old Balmain ladies' have agreed to their own demise by permitting their celebrations to be absorbed and disappear into the joint venture, while the magpie tradition continues on.

It all depends on how you look at it.

As a die hard magpie fan from before I could walk, I don't feel the joint venture is dissing my past, or favouring one side over the over. And, as a Western Suburbs Magpie fan, the joint venture has given me one thing that Wests alone were never able to give me - a Premiership!!!

Get on board and enjoy yourself.

Think you'll find Balmain would look at it as promoting their rich history and traditions in front of a new wave of fans - many who had no allegiance to either Balmain or Wests.
It looks as though Wests , on the other hand , are happy to continue to parade their history to an ever dwindling supporter base until they disappear up their own rear ends and be forgotten forever.

Some of you blokes could whinge for Australia. 5 pages and nobody seems to know what discussions took place between Balmain and Wests Tigers. Did the Magpies ask for a function in conjunction with the WT? If they did and were knocked back you'd have a point but if they didn't what's the big deal? Seems like this is more about the WT cosponsoring an event Balmain Football club has held for many years.

You're moving into self-parody territory these days Bug…

I think it is a good idea as it shows Balmains support for the JV and the fact they are part of it.To be honest i am very surprised that Wests Magpies dont do the same thing.

took the the words right out of my mouth :unamused:
