Balmain & Western Suburbs Junior Rep Teams 2011

I was told Kamuta & Grove were the two stand outs for wests in the 17s & 18s development game against the Dogs last week. With Kamuta scoring a try. Thats good to know Kamuta's been pulled back up to the SG Ball. if Grove is training once to twice a week will the SG Ball dose that mean he can get pulled up to play?

Also i hear rumors Kitt hurt his ankle?

I guess if needed, Harry could be an option. They've obviously kept him involved to the level he is for that reason maybe.

Billy Kitt did hurt his ankle against WA and is apparently out this week.

Their coach and I think Ast. Coach got the sack a couple weeks back. Gotta create some unstability. Feel sorry for the boys, but I'm sure they'll get it together. Good luck to 'em.

Go the might Tigers another win even thought we didn't play great we got the chocolates.

Great game from Mitchell Moses if he doesnt play today we don't win.

Given the results this week, if a few things go our way tigers can win this thing

Hey barefoot1 I agree with one thing Moses was good today, but as for winning the ball well, whilst a great thought, thats a long way off.

Lets get past Penrith, Dogs and Wests first and Newcastle are flying.

Keep your powder dry

Wests were surprisingly knocked off by the Sharks in SG Ball this weekend too. 25-18 if memory serves me correct.

Penalty count was 13- 2 to the sharks.

Twice called up for forward passes close to the line.

It really was a struggle for the boys…...Why do we have female touch judges ?

Wests didn't play well and made some crucial mistakes as a result of their frustration eventually all that tackling had to take its toll.

The swirling breeze down at Cronulla does make it hard but the team did well to get so close given the circumstances.

No way come semi final time can Cronulla beat the Magpies.

Its not just the girls that struggle. I've seen a few male refs and touchies struggle in the SG Ball comp thus far….Its simply not good enough.....Dogs v Knights SG Ball game had a young girl ref. :wtf

Agree 100% with your last comment too....No chance Cronulla beat Wests again this season. Wests had guys out and played a few "2nd tier" type guys aswell.....Newcastle lost to the Dogs so Magies still on top!

Wests have the easiest draw of any of the top teams, I wouldn't get too carried away with your title aspirations just yet. Losing to Cronulla shows that Wests are vunerable, the Dogs have been off the boil so far this season and you were lucky to catch them on an off day when you beat them. Newcastle the Dogs and Parra will take some toppling come Semi Final time. Good luck !!

Why not have girls? They do exactly the same training to obtain their certificates and exactly the same training, with the male refs and touchies, each week efore being allocated games. What a sexist mentality.

I dont think anybody is getting "carried away" with title aspirations.

This competition is too unpredictable for that and every team is vunerable at this age. Parramatta had the easiest of draws last season and didnt end up winning it, so anybody who thinks Wests have it in the bag is kidding themselves.

As for Wests being lucky to beat the Dogs. I respectfully think thats a load of rubbish.

The Dogs made mistakes that night, but so did Wests. If you saw what Wests started with in October, beating the Bulldogs was a huge achievement.

Anyway, long way to go.

I dont think its so much a "sexist mentality".

I'm all for having female officials. If they can physically keep up with the boys without losing their train of thought, why not.

The other thing that may come into it could be the whole intimidation factor. If a female ref can show the boys who's boss without getting flustered, then great. If she doesnt get offended by the swearing, even better.

Overall, the level of refereeing i've seen at junior rep level this season has been average at best. Male and females.

i agree suzie go away you dinosaur back back to the stone age with you iam a ref at junior level nothing wrong with the refs at this level my friend all human trie our best girls included some of our best refs are girls at this age group gee whiz this is why its so hard to get refs . on wests nothing special bout the same chance as the rest :blah

Um Yeah… you dinosaur Swoop !

Good work Bigdamo I have my referees ticket as well..... sat the test with the great Col Pearce (don't think your old enough to know who he is)
