Balmain SG Ball were very ordinary today as were Penrith. They have some decent talent but don't use them effectively, Mitchell Moses has to be the hooker, Shane Beal has to be the 5/8 and Mania Cherrington the half. At least with this combination there will be some creativity around the ruck, Manai is a good hooker but Mitchell's pace from the dummy half position really gets the team going and all of their best displays have been with Mitchell at hooker.

Not a very impressive performance from the Mapgies. Penalties and simple errors where the theme of the night. They did well to stick in there and get the win, but alot of work to be done.

Wests have the easiest draw of any of the top teams, I wouldn't get too carried away with your title aspirations just yet. Losing to Cronulla shows that Wests are vunerable, the Dogs have been off the boil so far this season and you were lucky to catch them on an off day when you beat them. Chuck in Manly - after a slow start the Eagles look good. Big strong outside backs in Liaina and Haika and a willing pack.
Given the talent, the Dogs really should win it, however I'm led to beleive their's an oversupply of arrogance in their squad (nice way of saying they're a pack of big heads)and they are susceptible to being run off their feet - Wests and Parra have both run them down this season.

… it's a terrific comp and I'm looking forward to the semi's.
 
I agree 100%. I wouldnt want to play Manly. Ironically though, I wouldnt be surprised to see them miss the finals altogether.

They play the Dogs and Newcastle in the final two weeks and the teams around them on the same number of points all have a far easier draw.

Looks like they might need some help to grab a finals spot.

As for the Dogs. Arrogance is their middle name. They wont win it unless they get an attitide change. They'll also have 3 games in the space of 7 days (as will the Tigers). It'll be interesting to see how they come through that.

The Knights have been in dominant form and are many people’s darkhorse for the title. Sione Mata’utia has found a home in the centres after beginning the year at fullback while, winger Rhys Binns has forced his way into a starting position through solid performances late in the regular season.
The Magpies need their back-row of Brent Downey, Matt Harris and Mitchell Toovey to stand up here. Stopping the Knights back-row will go a long way to securing a victory in the Hunter.

SG Ball - 1:30pm Saturday 23rd, Campbelltown Stadium

The Canberra Raiders head to Campbelltown Stadium to face Minor Premiers Western Suburbs in what is a massive ask for the team from the nation’s capital.
Wests have all the boxes ticked, good halves, size upfront and speed out wide. Mitchell Brasington has been in excellent form all year for the Magpies and he has been dually supported by the attacking brilliance of James Tedesco and David Nufoaluma.

The Raiders have shown they can test the best and their chances will lay in the hands of their sizable forward pack. If they can get an edge over the Wests pack then they are chance of an upset but if they let the likes of Lalogafu and Fiagatusa dominate then kiss season 2011 goodbye.
