BankWest Stadium 🏟

@tigeress first try at bankWests- Moses; first goal at bankWests- Moses; first field goal at bankWests- Moses. Makes me sick thinking about it

@Tiger_Steve As much as I dislike Moses I just wish our 1/2 had such an impact on a game ... Brooks really is a no show catch and pass man unfortunately.

Yep - Moses is really standing up and moving ahead of Brooks. I don’t wish hate on many but I really hope this bloke doesn’t succeed. He’s going to though

@Telltails In your mind, maybe. I will never call it Parra Stadium again. I won't be setting foot in the Parra Leagues either, so apart from attending the occasional away game there, the eels aren't going to get any benefit from me.

Yeah watching Moses and Parra crashing so badly last season was a joy to watch, but sadly karma and our period of gloating has come to an end. I was hoping that Parra would cut him, no one else would want him and he'd end up playing in the ESL never to be heard of again! That was never gonna happen, they chose to cut Norman instead and it's worked out well for both Moses and Parramatta.

Moses obviously has problems playing alongside other players who vy for control of a team, he has to be number 1, such is the ego, but Parra took the punt on him and it's working for them - their turnaround in form from last season is incredible.

On the stadium itself, it's all theirs as far as I'm concerned. I can't believe our club had to introduce yet another home ground. What the hell is wrong with us? Honestly we look like idiots! We need to punt all other 'home grounds', get as far away as possible from the territory of all the other western Sydney clubs, put some money into upgrading Campbelltown Stadium and build a fortress in *our own* area in south west Sydney.

This hovering around trying to get squatting rights on other clubs home grounds is just another reason why this club has such a losing mentality - it has to stop now! *End of rant*

We need to be playing in a modern stadium with the perks the corporates are looking for, only Bankwest meets this!

Stop gap solution until ANZ is up and running which at least is neutral.
Great stadium no arguement, but we will be expendable if we hang around there. There is nothing there that mildly resonates with our club or our identity. By using it we keep Parra strong - their sponsors and their locality.
We win there where do we go? Its enemy territory and always will be.

@Juro Is there a club near it ? Did not notice , on the walk down from the station through restaurant row there were heaps of Tigers supporters enjoying there alfresco meals in one of the 20 or so restaurants and the 4 to 5 pubs were doing good business . No one can use the club as an argument as the club does not enter into the equation at any level everyone has there own opinion on the subject .

How does it help their sponsors?

Corporate sponsorship is one of the key elements that a club needs to be successful. The way it is presented at this stadium major corporate sponsors will want a piece of it make no mistake .
The club will need to decide where there future lies and if they want a piece of the action and if they are smart not to leave it to long as once other clubs see the benefits and the imposing spectrum that this stadium offers to there corporates they will be in there quick smart.

@Snake - if we are winning Snake pretty sure we will watch our team play anywhere regardless of the facility. If we do become a strong club which is the plan just dont see the point in feathering Parra's nest.
With talk of too many teams in Sydney can we really afford to fully committ to a stadium that is traditionally the home ground of our very strong competitors? Might be a great place to watch footy, but our biggest challenge is proving our longterm viability and maintaining our identity. I think the club has done the right thing as using it purely as short term solution.
Best way I know how to be absorbed by a stonger outfit, and cant see Parra going anywhere. Time will tell.

@Tiger_Steve Totally agree with your sentiment re Moses, the question you ask yourself is - who scored the first try at the Olympic Stadium? What about SFS? The 1986 Parramatta Stadium?

I can only answer 1 of those from my memory, so give it long enough and nobody cares who scored the first try, except Mitchell Moses and his Mum.

It will always be Parramatta Stadium to me, just like it is the Olympic or Homebush stadium, and even the SFS, rather than any old sponsor's stadium. Absolutely hate the corporatism of public facilities or events.

We aren't a big game team/club... We crap ourselves when it's on the line.... In the record books yet again for all the wrong reasons
