BankWest Stadium 🏟

Not sure what the solution is, but I am sure if Madge is serious in not being another coach who has had his career murdered by this club he'll remedy it.

Madge might make the big calls this year and send on a few players under contract.

As mentioned by someone else already, we seem to still be bereft of ideas in the opposition 20 which must really piss the pigs off who do put in the hard yards.

@Telltails I can assure you no one will want to go to ANZ after attending games at Bank West’s.

I do 🙂

Don't know how he can! This team doesn't have a pack full of rampaging Burgesses, a barnstorming GI and speedy Johnston in the backline and a scheming Reynolds with a great kicking game to work with like he did when he got a Premiership. Unless there is money to spend on those type of players AND they actually want to come here, Madge's job of creating a strong competitive team, week in week out, is virtually impossible.

@Juro Is there a club near it ? Did not notice , on the walk down from the station through restaurant row there were heaps of Tigers supporters enjoying there alfresco meals in one of the 20 or so restaurants and the 4 to 5 pubs were doing good business . No one can use the club as an argument as the club does not enter into the equation at any level everyone has there own opinion on the subject .

I would bet that those businesses in Parramatta are more likely to invest that money that the tigers fans were handing over in sponsoring Parramatta than they are us.

@Snake If they are sponsoring based on access to the stadium, wouldn't they more likely sponsor Parramatta & get 12 games access rather than us & get 4?

I would suggest that the facilities at the new Moore park stadium will at least match Parramatta.

Let's put 50 on titans than 😁😁😁😁😁

When was the last time we put 50 on a team? I honestly can't remember. I know we had a pretty good win over Manly early last season, but I don't think it was 50. That's the only game, in my recent memory anyway, that I can recall us winning comfortably. It's always a heart attack victory, last minute loss (GP) or plain old flogging for us unfortunately.

I asked that question too recently, and someone replied the last time we won by 50 (or got to 50) was 2010. How sad is that.

Far out, really? That's almost a decade ago! And finals appearances not much better 😔

The club should link with one of the pubs or clubs along the walk to the ground and market it as Wests Tigers home base on game days and profit share. The club just has to be a little creative, it is not that difficult.

I work in Parramatta and raised this with a pub where my mates and I go on occasion. The manager laughed and said everyone is welcome. It would cost them too much patronage to be seen to support an opposition team.

Doesn't mean they will all react in that manner.

I bet the new facility the RSL is building will have function rooms or an audatorium they'd be willing to lease out. The thing the club is holding itself back on is only 4 games. A fulltime move there would make it feel like a home ground eventually.

Campbo didnt feel like home to me in 87 as Leichhardt didnt in 2000.

So drinking at a local pub before one of our home games is a massive issue for you because it supports that pub that in turns sponsors the eels. But you drinking at that pub on a non game day is ok?

Would stop in anywhere as long as it is not Parra leagues. No issue with what they do, I am just making the point that you will be lucky to find a pub that will market itself as being the home of the tigers. Our fans can choose whichever they like & will get served the same way as any other fan.

You can sell it whichever way you want, but we are not Parra's local team, will never take over the area and are unlikely to win over any businesses through the fact we play 5 games a year there. We are simply a itinerant football team that turns up in that area a few times a year.

I agree. Same as Campbo and LO, we are homeless and thats why we need one home ground. In 3 years time we will have three suitable stadiums to choose from. Hopefully the end of park football.

There is the RSL at the entrance to para park a short walk to the stadium and is somewhat in between the station and stadium you can drink at. At least the proceeds go to the RSL.

Have to say WSS no way, Moore Park no way, Homebush yes. At least Homebush is in our patch I think or at least very close.

If less teams play at Homebush, which appears likely to happen, yes Homebush would be very close to becoming our home ground.
