Benji doesnt care

I change my mind on Potter.
I was blaming Potter but listening to him on MMM last night it looks like Marshall actually goes out of his way to not follow the game plan. The plan was to go through the middle of Manly something the halfback / 5/8 should be organising.
With regard to the second man play Potter said that won't be used next year so much when different people are in these key positions.

Gotta feel sorry Lawrence. Almost cripples himself and people talk about him with disdain. If Dwyer ever made a miracle comeback and was struggling would you be so harsh in telling him to move on? knowing this forum people probably would.

I think it's pretty clear Benji's heart just isn't in it anymore. He may say otherwise but deep down I think he knows it's the very opposite. He's not switched on, he doesn't even look focused on the task at hand and that's real poor of him. I never thought he'd get so bad that we'd be better off without him. Few people will disagree that we'll be better off without him on the field.

GNR I honestly think that everyone feels for Rowdy

But he isn't performing and at some stage have to make a call on his future , where do you draw the line

I suggest to drop some kgs and a sprint coach but what if that doesn't work GNR , what next ??

Pay a bloke 380 k a season to perform like a 140 k a season player ??

Clubs are still businesses when it comes to the crunch

I'm sure he does care but , I think his mojo is shot he and has been for quite some time I think his decision to go is the right one TBH.
We might see less balls passed over the side line to the touchy or hit the turf next year, that is of course if Anasta isn't playing 5/8

Lets hypothesise.

If you came back from a Brain injury and couldn't string numbers together but originally worked as an accountant and then couldn't do your job, should you expect your clients to say "It's ok mate, you sit there take your time, and work out my taxes. here, let me help you a bit with part 4."

Irrespective of the fact you are persisting, your client will get bummed by the fact that their taxes aren't getting done.

This is how I feel about Chris Lawrence GNR.

I like the guy.
I've met him and had conversations with him. He got taught by my father at St Gregs.
He's a nice fella. A smart kid. Heck he's so smart I'd let him do MY taxes.
However in his current form of work he's a liability.

I wouldn't call it disdain. Disdain suggests we don't want him to succeed. I'd call it frustration, and disappointment.

It seems quite clear that he is still playing injured and can't run properly. Unfortunately, it appears he thinks he is doing the right thing by stepping up and battling on, and obviously the coaching staff feel the same. Myself, I'd rather he took time off until he can get fully fit again.
