Get him to coach brooks. Then he might learn to play what’s in front of him

Someone who played more by plan than instinct would be a better coach. Andrew Johns or Sterlo would be good.

Has Mitch Moses improved under John’s coaching?

He might not get the Gig i hear they are also interested in former soon to be former QLD sports minister Kate Jones who is the local member??

The reason they are waiting to appoint a coach is that they want to do a full clean out of some departments as well, multiple positions being reviewed.

Always will under pressure. Johns is a football coach not a psychologist.

Tigers new role to keep Benji Marshall revealed. But it won’t be on the field - Fox Sports
Unwanted NRL legend Benji Marshall is set to be offered an off-field position at the Tigers in a bid to keep him involved with the club.
Marshall was told by the Tigers last month that his services were no longer required in a playing capacity beyond 2020, before 8,000-plus fans signed a petition to give him one final season in 2021.
However The Daily Telegraph’s Dean Ritchie revealed the petition is set to fail, but the Tigers will offer Marshall an off-field role to keep him involved with the club he loves.

NRL TEAM LISTS: Roosters rest Teddy as Haas leaves Broncos bubble
TRANSFER CENTRE: Tigers land premiership-winning prop; Proctor to stay at Titans
TRANSFER WHISPERS: Controversial star linked to shock exit; Barrett’s No.1 target
“No the petition will not work,” Ritchie said on The Big Sports Breakfast.
“I am hearing he will be offered a job at the Wests Tigers as a support for the players.
“They are trying to keep him in the organisation. It won’t be on the field unless there is a late miracle.
“But I think they are looking to keep him on-board in administration, which would keep Benji involved and keep him at the club.
“Benji has to weigh up do I go elsewhere for one year and throw away perhaps a long career off the field at the Wests Tigers or do I take the job.”

The 35-year-old veteran has scored 93 tries in 322 NRL games to date for the Tigers, Dragons and Broncos.
Marshall has been linked with a return to Red Hill depending on who is appointed coach next season, but Ritchie said there has been no concrete offers for Marshall’s services.
“I haven’t heard of any offers,” Ritchie said.
“I’m sure if he priced himself in the right range there would no doubt be some clubs who would look at him.
“But if there is a job there at the Wests Tigers I think Benji would look at it pretty seriously.
“It sounds like a good job. It is long-term and it is at the club he loves.”

Dean Ritchie reports the petition is set to fail..Sorry Bulldog there was never a snowflakes chance in hell of it succeeding in the 1st place..

I often wonder if these blokes ever re-read what they write before it's published..

He was playing well until a month ago, apparently he is playing with a calf injury. There may be other issues

Interesting another job for the boys and really 8000 plus members signed a petition when its an 80 Against / 20 for on this forum where the majority are members.

With nearly 18,000 members even if we did a 70/30 split
that would be 12,600 against and 5,400 for if all voted.

Well the club has given him options can't be anymore fair than that will be his decision to play on or take a position.

Personally not against the offer although just wondering if the divisive nature and ego will remain and our culture does not change based upon this decision????

Not really surprising that Benji would be offered a position after he stops playing.
Very marketable, ticks the sponsors boxes, has high profile, and would be especially good with young players coming through.
Hope he stays.

If you have former players involved in the club, it leads to a much stronger message when journos contact them for comment.

Imo, if he plays on in 2021 for another club, the offer to work with Wests Tigers post his football career should come off the table for good.

Why do they need to comment should things be kept in house and leave the comments via the CEO/Coach or Marketing executive not former players???

How does the club prevent that?

I'd love to hear about the last petition that actually changed an organisation's mind.
