The NRL did make an edict at the start of 2010 that they should be taped-up (and it was up to the refs to ensure this pre-game)!!

It happened for a few weeks - but then the refs lost interest (just like they do with their rule blitzes over a week or three) & the players just continued to use them un-taped without repercussion!

We all know it was not just Benji in 2010 - Carney was another offender! And they sponsored the NSW Origin team!

Footballers are renowned for being superstitious - & given Benji's injury history along with his stellar 2010 season - I cannot blame him for choosing to keep using them on a superstitious basis! If it gives him placebic confidence - I am more than happy for him to use them!!!

Kids who have enough money to buy them due to Benji wearing one - should know better by the age that they have that money of their own to spend!! Otherwise - parents just say no (plus they're not made in childrens size to my understanding)!!!

Zorba is only upset because he was forced to explain on 2GB why Tony Williams was holding up a 'Westside" gang hand-sign in their team poster!! (Along with Junior Tia-Kilifi for the dogs & Warea-Hargraeves in the Roosters poster)!!

Mate - I had no idea when Zorba referred to the power-bands (whatever the frick they're called) - so if my timeline was incorrect I 'll cop that!!!

It was tuesday that Zorba was asked by young Fordham about the gang-signs by Williams!
