Besieged WT's cut big $ deal to move home games to ANZ

Sounds like either Parra or Homebush is going to get a major upgrade or re-build. Whichever it is we have to make it our home ground.

So you're saying we should relocate to Parra..?? :unamused: :unamused:

Yes, I'm proposing that if Dave Smith gets what he wants, 40k at Parra and 60k at Moore park, that we should re-locate from Sydney to Sydney.
It soooooo ridiculous isnt it.

While we're still playing in Sydney we could even play a game or two in Cronulla or Brookvale perhaps??

Parra is ridiculous. Why play in an area totally out of our catchment zone?

oh do you mean like playing at Allianz for 10 years?

because it's a good stadium, and instead of losing 10s of thousands of dollars per game playing at LO/CS, we can make that much from ANZ and a proposed new stadium. All depends on what the gvmt does. If they redevelop ANZ we'll probably stay there indefinitely, if they dont do much and mostly do Allianz and parra we might move to parra cause it'd be a really nice, roofed stadium for us. (and not too big either)

Still unsure as to what needs to be improved. It is a great ground already.

mostly roofing it. maybe improving ammenities, toilets, transport, wifi things like that as well. but mostly the roof.

Well, I did say we should play there if Smith gets what he wants, a 40k seat stadium at Parra. Its a no brainer, you should be able to understand.

We have come all this way, merged two unrelated clubs, built up a fresh supporter base and new commercial partnerships…and we throw it away to return to the "Sydney Tigers" and play games out of Parra Stadium.

What good is a club without a geographical identity?

I dunno, ask Souths.

It's a difficult problem without an easy solution. The money will always come first and I understand that, but the more we leave our homes then the more of a target we are for relocation.

As I understand it the upgrade would put the seats somewhere near the playing surface, almost like it was a football stadium and not a half assed conversion of an athletics field.

I can't agree. Only poor finances will decide relocations.you won't see s I souths moved on just because they don't play in their territory
