Blake Austin

WOW. blake austin is looking AMAZING in NSW Cup GF.

A disallowed try ( i thought it was a try). Set up a try with a great grubber, forced a line drop out and has generally been involved in everything. And it's not even past the 10 minute mark….

Again, starts great then fades out of the game. Needs to fade back into the game fairly soon.

I blame the coach for this. He has Austin permanently on the left. Why on earth coaches insist on having their main players limited to one side of the field is plain stupidity.

Austin should be roving around both sides of the ruck, rather than waiting on the left.

Terrible second half from the wolves so far. A lot of unnecessary offloads and slow running

The bottom line can anyone see the club dropping Anasta????Just cant see it happening regardless of the other contenders. It was obvious to everyone he cant play in the backrow anymore, so that only leaves the no 6\. He may share the role with a player off the bench and during the course of a season their will be injuries so the other players will get their chance, but for what ever reason he will be like other players and never get to meet the reserve grade coach. Really Potter has more chance of being dumped than Anasta, yes it is madness, but these things happen in football clubs especially ours.

There are two players that the club will not drop irrespective of how badly they play, Anasta and Lawrence. It happened in 2013 and will most likely happen again in 2014\. Sad for the club all round as other players will lose interest.

Yawn
Who would you replace either of them with in 2013?? Given our salary cap situation there's no one else.

It would definitely have to be Tim Moltzen and when he settles into his real position of 6 or 7 it will be no yawn watching him.

I said who would you have replaced Lawrence (playing busted) or Anasta with in 2013?

It happens at all clubs….I dont know why people cant see this?

Maybe its because we are average more often than not its more prominent....but clubs rarely drop senior players - it doesnt sit well with sponsors, and then theres the high pay checks for playing reggies....it dont sit well with many

Wolves today were very similar to WT sides of the past few seasons.

Some talent in playmaking positions etc but zero grunt up the guts.

Sharks won the field position and walked away with it on the back of that and some errors from the Panthers winger.

Austin was easily their best player and only bright spark from the game from the Windsor side

Totally agree Smeg & was only thinking the same thing watching that game.

Seemed like he has a big head on him. If the reports that potter is tough on the young kids is true then it would do Blake a world of good.

There was a moment when he gave a bad pass to capewell and walked away like he did nothing wrong and on the other hand capewell was spewing.

When he plays good reminds me of foran. Seems like a good defender when he does go looking for a tackle.

Otherwise seemed to go missing- a lot like Anasta.

From what I saw- there is no way he will be our starting 5/8\. He's behind Anasta and moltzen for sure.
