Who cares what he does of the field I would take him in a heart beat any day over nofa, it's not like we are running bible study, I would also take back lui in a flash, the guys we've got a to soft we need some mugs that a big and tough.

I agree that some of our blokes are soft, probably mentally more than anything. However, I wouldn't call either Ferguson or Lui tough….one is a serial pest and hanger-on to more high profile teammates and the other one towels up his missus after a night on the turps. Hardly the stand-up hard men that we need.

I'm one to stand up and say I am happy that we didn't sign Mason. It's obvious here that a few don't know what goes on behind the scenes with him, but I will say no more on that. Sure, he is playing well in a good pack with a good coach and he has the home environment again. None of those things he would have had with us.

As for Ferguson, puhlease. Why the rush to sign a gold plated tool? I think we have some junior talent that would be a far better investment with our limited money.

Why don't we go through the various jails, mental institutions, drug and alcohol clinics and the rest of those quality places in the search for talent. I'm sure there are some good footballers amongst that lot too!

Let's just stick to quality, hard working, honest types. You know, normal people who have respect for themselves.

What goes on behind the scenes with Mason then? Unless you are going to tell us all then I'll take your insinuation for what it is: an insinuation. Nothing backed up by fact.

Fact: Mason was available for peanuts last year
Fact: Mason was signed by Bennett, one of the games most experienced and successful coaches. If he was such a cancer as you are hinting at Bennett wouldn't have touched him with a 10 ft pole
Fact: Mason has been outstanding since he was thrown a lifeline

Why rush to sign Ferguson? Well, there are plenty of reasons. The main two that our backline is in desperate need of speed, hight and aggression and the fact that he is a far better player than most of the players we have playing first grade.

Is he a risk? Of course. But beggars can't be choosers when you are in our situation with limited dollars and a mediocre squad.

As for sticking to "quality, hard working, honest types" well that has certainly won us plenty of football games lately, hasn't it? :crazy

Sad part of modern day RL but could we really afford to lose current sponsors pouring who-knows-how-much money into our club just so that we could take a punt on a bloke with a long history of off-field stuff ups that was viewed as a bad egg by his former clubs? Given our current weak financial situation I would probably think not.

We are weak, with pathetic leadership
This is what happens when you let the lunatics run the asylum.
Sponsors are there to support the club and gain exposure in return.
We have coaches and recruitment staff to handle new players.
How the hell does it get confused?

Maybe the bloke in the merch shop can be the doctor next week, The quack can run the water and skando can sit in Humptys plush leather chair…

So Ink you think that signing mason a bloke who hadn't played for a year and has a history of rocking club cultures would have been worth it no matter how many sponsors left. Of course the sponsors opinion is sort and considered -if they didn't take into account the sponsors then they defiantly should be sacked.
