Braith Anasta

I think he really is suited to back row these days

But for what we payed I think we are getting value for money

Also enjoyed his dummy spit at the referee In The dogs roosters game tonight…. He's intelligent as a footballer

Thought he looked like a dismal prospect tonight.
BRET at best.

Based on one game? Get a grip. Even Marshall and Farah have poor games from time to time.
His team were getting smashed, he's clearly not wanted over there and you expect him to sparkle?

He looks very frustrated trying to get a misfiring team to perform. That kind of passion when the chips are down is something to value in a player for mine.

I think he will really enjoy playing with the Tigers. He won't have the public pressure of the captaincy but will still be a natural leader behind the scenes. A huge asset.

I don't like the bloke, but I felt for him last night… It looked like no one was putting their hand up to do the dirty work, After the Dogs got 12 points in front, you could see him behind the posts trying to rally the boys and they looked so disinterested. How do you try to inspire such dejection?

We are buying control.

He knows the game and he is composed - which is something we really lack. He is an accomplished footballer and will be the polish we need as a footy team to have us consistent.

Maybe we don't have to start every season with 5 losses…....or maybe we do! Time will tell.

Braith is not a happy camper at the Roosters,a major problem with coach and management don't be fooled ..Anasta is a good signibg for the Tigers.

a couple of my roosters mates who watch every roosters game said braith looks disinterested in playing the game.
most of us on here take the meaning as he is trying his hardest but the team is going bad they take it as he just wants to get out of there..

two very opposing views on one player.

Been watching him for some time now,& sorry,at 31 yo next season I have no idea what he brings other than "compusure" for what thats worth as a non captain next year.
His "skill set" seems to be duplicative of Sironen who has a long NRL future ahead of him starting almost immediately, except that Anasta is older & slower. His short & long kicking game is no better than anything we already have,he's way behind Pearce as a playmaker at the Roosters,& we already have an entrenched captain plus the captain of NZ…?
Finally, the only slot he can take next year is no 13,which Fulton has well & truly earned over the past two seasons
Id rather put the $$ into a halfback or prop (or two)
Only Sheens wld sign him at this stage of his career

We were playing busted and were crying out for a player like Anasta, a month later you have to wonder if he will be holding back a better young player. One things for certain he will not play reserves so he will be taking someones place. I just hope we dont let a player like Humble go because we signed Anasta.

Anyway at the time of his signing it was a smart move, now Iam not so sure but one thing it gives us good cover if Farah or Marshall get injured, we have another play maker.

Let us not forget it was his field goal that sunk us in finals game 1 2010, plus he set up the try in golden point the year before.

The bloke knows how to win and has loads of experience. As with all signings, I'll see how he goes and how he is used in the team before I pass judgement.

Agree Glen, I think the change of teams will do him the world of good. He probably wishes he could come here right now! I hope he is given a new lease of life when he comes here because the guy can really play when he's switched on.

Can't wait, Anasta on right side, Blair on left side & Sheens still declaring "It won't be long before they start playing really well…. 2014"

Hey bob…I know where you are coming from..and I agree ...but you wont get too much support from these bloggers,,they all love The Coach and Bludger Blair..hahahaha

ATM we have a huge problem if Benji gets injured, there is no goal kicker, and we have no experienced player that can take his role.
IMHO with signing of Anasta both problems are solved.

Lawrence has kicked in first grade with mixed results. Moltzen kicked a goal earlier this year I believe when Marshall couldn't. Farah has also kicked goals at NRL level with fairly limited success.

Both Moltzen and Lawrence can kick (as well as Farah).
Moltzen seems to be the preferred back up at the moment.
Don't think Lawrence has lined up too many lately although he kicked for the Junior Kangaroos ( including one from the sideline to level the scores in a Test match).
Moltzen then kicked a field goal to win the same match.
PS . Michael Jennings and Jarryd Hayne were also in that team - wonder if they'd like to play with their old teammates again?
