Brooks Bashers Bore Me

I could not agree more with the premise of this thread... As someone who posted inside knowledge regularly on this forum, I made a conscience decisions to pull back based on what the forum turned into. You log on and the last 2 or 3 pages of all the top threads (regardless of its actual topic) would just be the bashing of 1 player... seriously?

I respect everyone's opinion and completely understand that years of failure leads to frustration (my own included), particularly of the most passionate fans. But what people fail to realise is that, this literally feeds into every narrative that the media push - the narrative everyone despises so much.

Brooks hasnt been world beater in this team recently, but in all honesty who has?

In can honestly say that the internal decisions that have been made over the last 6 months have been the best in over a decade. It will just take some time and patience from players, management and fans alike to reap the rewards. Change does not happen overnight, especially when failure has been the norm for a decade.

Well said sir.
There are a lot of members who have seen the so called rebuild so many times, they're frustrated.
Most don't understand the inner workings of the club [I don't either] they can only see the tangible things, results, who's in charge of this and that and attack them.
Brooks, Pascoe, Madge, someone's wife's aunty's brother.
I've been watching failure since 1969 and had to wait till 2005 for the thrill of winning a comp.
I have not been this positive that Madge and Sheens can turn this club around. I'm confident that more troops will come.
Listen to Madge's press conference post game.
I thought it was polished.
Mate there are going to members who are going to read these posts and say what about this, what about that.
I get it, you've made your point, say something new.
Come up with something that noone has said before, something that is positive and informative.
Some of us are not true supporters, I wish you well with the Dolphins or whoever you decide follow.

ignoramise,if you kept your inside knowledge hush, loose lips sink ships, sorry mate your a weed, hope you dont take that path anymore

Who are you replying to Merlot 😁
Quick on rage is skin deep by the stranglers 🤪

No idea. They didn’t listen because your little punching bag wanted out and they wouldn’t let him go. Seems the experts all agree with me.
They wouldn’t let him go because Newcastle wanted us to pay $400k or more of his contract … similar to how we got burned with Mbye.
Newy happy to pay his real worth only - no matter what Johns might waffle on about in the press.

the aim is to get the best deal and pay the least for a player ....
McCulloch and bird at dragons as a example
if you are offloading a player why should the team taking them pay full freight that is bad business they need to get the best value deal possible

Understand we've, you included, been patient for 10 years.
Nothing has changed. 99% of us (except @cochise ) have no idea of the inner workings of the club. We don't hear anything.
We just see continued [This word has been automatically removed]-ups on a weekly basis and.poor results. If the coach isn't the problem, fix it. If the halfback isn't the problem, fix it. These guys in charge are on very good coin.
So [This word has been automatically removed] patience. I'm sick of waiting.
Always next year hey?
Well [This word has been automatically removed] that.....

No surprise on all of that and good to see you back.

We are never going to stop the fringe that are relentless in their bashing of Brooks or any other. It is the ones that get affected by them that we can help and they, like others that get dragged down conspiracy paths are victims of these antagonists.

If you are one of them and reading this, I hope that you will reflect on your contribution to such and as to whether you are judging on actual individual performance or preconceptions. It is not helpful.

Thank you to those that may have a similar opinion on Brooks or other forum members etcetera, yet understand the damage that can be done to both individuals and community, so refrain from joining in on the electronic backslapping.

Good to hear from you champion @CCTW.
Always enjoy your input.

Yet people believe this and still think it’s a given he’ll be shopped around. The club see him as an asset, you don’t have to agree, but denying that is the equivalent to arguing the sky is green. Right @bigsiro?
He's a protected species.

The media spend the week saying they feel sorry for him.
He has teams structured around him and fails each time, no matter the changes.
Never dropped, never has played cup, never played finals.
Then Madge comes out and says this....

He's 27 years old.
It's not gonna happen. 😂

Good to see you back posting hope it continues.. if you don't know peoples opinion on Brooks by now you never will the continual bashing of the bloke over and over and over is some kind of joke ..not a funny one ..it's pointless

Plenty of other football stuff to talk about..glad to hear the good decisions are being made..

It isn’t, he’s just backing his player who is copping it from all angles. There’s never been anything to suggest from the club that he isn’t their man though.

Their man...
Requested a release... twice.

If that isn't telling em something, I don't know what will.
