As much as i hate to say it, Cleary is a gun half but I haven't quite noticed the type of aggression and passion he displayed tonight, like he grew a bigger pair overnight. It really is a leader type, and lifted his team, reminds me of packer especially in his 2nd stint vs the donkeys.
Wish Brooks can take a leaf...

Madge really needs to play Brooks as a running forward if he comes off the bench again. If Grant needs a rest throw him at hooker for a short stint.
I was thinking to myself during that game as we were getting deeper and deeper into the 2nd half, that it’s going to be hard for Brooks to come in to this game and keep this momentum going.
I was hoping he would just go into hooker when he came on. But he went back to his usual spot. Waiting out wide for the ball to come his way.
I really wasn’t surprised that his performance was full of errors. He had 17mins to save his position and try and get confidence back.
No doubt Madge would of been thinking, ‘The game is out of reach. Go on, make your tackles and close out the game!’ Personally when he came on, I don’t think he took that role on, he once again left that to Benji....

Brooks will be back because he is one of our best. Some of the garbage being posted about him is disturbing.

There are many ill informed comments flying about.

So far we've had the Chris Lawrence is a plodder line yet he has been a major contributor the last few weeks.

The other of course is McIntyre was a plodder in ISP and not NRL standard when it was patently obvious he was an NRL standard player. We missed him hugely against Souths.

7 thumbs up already for this post. Wow!
You go for it guys!
Being a Tigers fan has always been heart-over-head!
Dig your heels in! It’s almost sweet.

Did you have something constructive to write? I would like to read it as it you are consistent in your criticism of Brooks.

Moses has Andrew Johns as a halves coach, Cleary has Trent Barrett. Who does WTs employ?

We dont but could not resist the opportunity to put a smile on my face.

Brook's role was simplified coming off the bench. However he struggled again.

I just see a player really down on confidence and not likely to get it back any time soon.

Because he was trying too hard. He come on with the game won without having any involvement and probably felt he needed to stamp himself to stay in the picture. He overplayed his hand trying to ball play. He just needed to run, nothing else. When he did he was dangerous.

So who provides the specialist coaching for our halves? Is it one of the Johns' bros, Braith, the Whiz?

Forget a coach I'd look for another half imo. Sick of the excuses for this guy. So now it's coaching, yeah ok. .

My point exactly. His role couldn't have been any easier and he still missed the mark.

Yup. Get a halfback, get a goalkicker and get some speed.

So what, a Dally M half of the year, club player of the year is suddenly bad. Absolute rubbish and what I would expect from some on this forum.

Two of the best halfbacks have personal guidance from former internationals. Both have taken their games to higher levels. It is a simple question, which former great does WTs have on it's books advising Brooks? If the finger pointing is starting, look at the system. Why aren't we providing this guidance?

If Brooks played 80 against the Broncs he would of torn them to shreds.
Walters has a real test this week.one decent game against arguably the worst team in the comp.

We tried to get Daley has a halves coach and the NRL didn’t allow it over some stupid gambling thing.

But what have we done since? Moses and Cleary are improving and receiving personal coaching from Johns and Barrett. We all watched Cleary's very clever use of changes of pace while drifting across linking with the backline. Straight out of the Barrett handbook. We expect champagne taste on a beer budget. Time for the club to get assistance.

We have two SOO halves, one playing centre poorly and another suspended whose form has been dodgy. These aren't Maguire's signings but we do need to move them on.

No idea, I’m sure there is a halves coach at the club just not a Johns or Barrett. Would like to get someone like that in for sure you can tell how much it’s helped cleary and Moses

I think there should be a fullback coach a winger coach a centre coach, halves coach, lock coach backrow coach hooker coach bench coach outside the 17 coach all except Props..they don't need a coach..just bash it up an bash the opposition down..
