Anyone see the team song on our Facebook? Brooks looked less than thrilled to be there.

There's something about Brooks that just looks awkward in general. He looks too shy or too introverted, not exactly sure. If I were Madge, id send him to a life coach to try and give him some much needed confidence because he looks all out. Madge needs to give Brooks the keys and let the tiger out of the cage.

Mbye to Madge = Rankin to JT

Absolutely, the double standard is breathtaking. What message is Maguire sending to other players?

Who is going to take Mbyes spot

Talau.

And the wing spot

Lawrence to left centre with Hoffman outside of him. Was that a Captain looking after his debutant last week? What a disgrace Mbye has been over the last two games.

Talau to right centre.

I agree with the Mbye comments
But Lawrence will get eaten by Xaviers speed

I think Xavier's just licking his wounds.

I will eat humble pie

I think Luke was given the dose of reality that Benji was given and needed a few weeks ago. For his sake I hope he handles it the same way Benji did.

There are some unfair assessments on Luke's game.
Other than the cutout pass attempt the only other error being mentioned was actually caused from a Bronco player knocking the ball out, from behind. So naturally it's not from his own doing.
Urgency was one of his issues prior to this game and you can't fault him for that, perhaps he was just a little too overenthusiastic if anything.

I agree with the comments re:sports psychologists.
He's clearly not in the best mindset, and surely we(club) need to take into high consideration that his game is dwindling when it's perfectly suited for his abilities.
Said it after he won the Dally M Half that he needs a coach to help take him to the next level. Send a S.O.S to Scotty Prince or even Matty Johns (who helped Munster with us game), as since Ivan's left he doesn't seem to have much confidence.

Maybe Walters Snr would be interested.

In the medium term there is no place for Brooks in the side ... injury will be his Avenue back , had his chances .

When will Mbye receive his? How many first up contacts did he miss last night? Against the.Roosters we will be destroyed if he.continues with this defence.

Don't know.

brooke should be at full back. we had short fast corey now we have tall slow douie we should put medium fast brookes in full back. benji and josh rotate halfway with walters and grant remains on field

Even if he does, I don't think he has the talent that Benji has to comeback so strong. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong, Packer certainly did!

I agree he's gonna have to work his way back into the side and sorry to be a bit of a downer but I'm not nearly as optimistic as you, particularly thinking bout Benji's defensive game next week.

Don't get me wrong I love the strong presence of onfield leadership - think it extended right across the park with Lawrence/Benji/Aloiai/Packer/Grant - and it was great to see Walters take his opportunity with both hands, but we played the Broncos.
Benji will be heavily targeted....by Shaun Lane nonetheless...and there'll be more pressure put on his attacking game.
A totally different kettle of fish. So fingers crossed we have a game plan best for this alone.

Would love to hear people's thoughts on how we win next week though??

Des provides the blueprint tonight which is hard to execute at BankWest against the Eels.
Hold their early barrage and try to build a lead and get in a grind. They key is holding their forwards and stopping Gutherson. Easier said than done but with a 5 day turnaround they could be missing Sivo, Brown and Mahoney May be suspended for a lifting tackle.

Last night showed Brooks isn't going to be starting again for a while. Comes off the bench and has a shocker. 3 errors in 10 mins. His kicking game was still awful. Having the kick charged down showed he's learnt nothing. Failing miserably with his attempt to spread the ball with an atrocious pass to the laces. Errors that neither benji or Walters made.
As a bench utility Reynolds offers a lot more. In 2 weeks i doubt Brooks is still on the bench.

Eels were crap and in the end Manly simply protected their lead to get the W.

I think Eels were better once Nuikore went on and they started going left.
Aside from the fact they played without Moses, Matterson and Ferguson, I don't think that team will be the same Parra team we'll be playing on Thursday. No one likes losing to us.
Plus it looked like they having were having an off game with most of the team looking very flat.

Manly are a better team than the Eels. They were robbed in their first game. Both teams at full strength and Manly will win and well. Badly underrated team. Eels are beatable but I don’t think we have the team to stop them. Canberra and Manly both should have beaten them in different games. We are not at the level of those teams just yet but we will trouble them like we did Penrith.

Watch the team Song - Brooks is the most unenthusiastic player in the group. BTW Lucy takes over from Nofo at the end and what a Haka! I think Madge has perhaps noticed a cultural shift. NZ coach after all!

Brooks had just finished a bog ordinary performance. He was probably still beating himself up over it. Hard to move on sometimes when things aren't going your way. Doesn't mean it will always be like this.

That and he's a serious introvert.

Where can the team song be seen?

Brooks will be back because he is one of our best. Some of the garbage being posted about him is disturbing.

There are many ill informed comments flying about.

So far we've had the Chris Lawrence is a plodder line yet he has been a major contributor the last few weeks.

The other of course is McIntyre was a plodder in ISP and not NRL standard when it was patently obvious he was an NRL standard player. We missed him hugely against Souths.

I agree with all of this. Im a Brooks fan, but Madge has shown his hand and Walters & Benji did well against a rubbish opposition on Friday. IMO the loser out of all of this will be Reynolds. IMO he slips one or two spots lower on the waiting list.

I have been pleasantly surprised with Lawrence. One of my all time favourite Tigers but I assumed his days as an effective centre were past. Proves you can do anything with big enough heart & will.

I was wrong about McIntyre. He is a keeper.

Yeah I’m sure he pretty much is the same every time they sing the team song. Not everyone goes batshite crazy like Lucy or Nofo. Lawrence and Benji are pretty tame also.
