In the medium term there is no place for Brooks in the side ... injury will be his Avenue back , had his chances .
I agree he's gonna have to work his way back into the side and sorry to be a bit of a downer but I'm not nearly as optimistic as you, particularly thinking bout Benji's defensive game next week.
Don't get me wrong I love the strong presence of onfield leadership - think it extended right across the park with Lawrence/Benji/Aloiai/Packer/Grant - and it was great to see Walters take his opportunity with both hands, but we played the Broncos.
Benji will be heavily targeted....by Shaun Lane nonetheless...and there'll be more pressure put on his attacking game.
A totally different kettle of fish. So fingers crossed we have a game plan best for this alone.
Would love to hear people's thoughts on how we win next week though??
Des provides the blueprint tonight which is hard to execute at BankWest against the Eels.
Hold their early barrage and try to build a lead and get in a grind. They key is holding their forwards and stopping Gutherson. Easier said than done but with a 5 day turnaround they could be missing Sivo, Brown and Mahoney May be suspended for a lifting tackle.
Eels were crap and in the end Manly simply protected their lead to get the W.
I think Eels were better once Nuikore went on and they started going left.
Aside from the fact they played without Moses, Matterson and Ferguson, I don't think that team will be the same Parra team we'll be playing on Thursday. No one likes losing to us.
Plus it looked like they having were having an off game with most of the team looking very flat.
