Campbelltown Stadium

There were a few things I was hoping would've been fixed but weren't.

1\. Western side canteen - the lines still extend out into the walkway and block EVERYTHING … the kitchen out the back looked very clean and modern, but when I went to buy a pie - "sorry love the pies aren't warm yet" .. at 1oclock

2\. Toilets on Western side still old and dated .. yes soap was provided, but are bars of soap legal?!

3\. "Big" screen / scoreboard. The TV in my lounge room outdoes that one.

4\. Western stand top deck leg room. While I don't ask for seats the size of Qantas first class, I didnt enjoy getting kneed in the back and having people stand up in front of me when people had to walk past them

One thing they can change for next game though is the Eastern side exit. They funnelled everyone through one small gate and left two roller garage doors closed right next to it which wouldve made everything flow much easier.

Don't wanna sound like I'm having a mad [This word has been automatically removed]. I had a great day on Sunday, despite the result, and think the major changes - ie extra seating etc looked really good and will be beneficial to the club for years to come.

The journo is me - I'd be very grateful for anyone who could answer the PM.

As Bret said I'm writing a story on the Campbelltown upgrade - after a few complaints on here I was interested to gauge the opinion of Tigers fans.

Yeah Tom, I've replied. Hope it was helpful. Very ingenious of you to check the Forum for feedback. Post a copy of your article - I'm sure a lot of us would be interested to read it

$8mil later, you think they could have moved it a bit closed to balmain

Just shy of 20,000 on Sunday. Bums on seats is hard to argue against.

Not when you consider that we have got 30k + at ANZ over the years. Since we have been playing at $$$ stadiums our avergae crowds have been higher at those grounds than at LO or CS.
Do this for me. Rank the clubs in Sydney from richest to poorest and then rank the stadiums in Sydney in regards to facilities not atmosphere. You'll see a pattern.

36k on Anzac Day a week or so ago.

That was a St George home game….

3 home games for the Rorters this year ave 15145....and that included 17K against us

Yeah I knew it was a saints game.Your being a bit pedantic so the last time they beat 20K at a SFS home game was last years Anzac game,28k. Doesnt change a thing though, 36k turned up which is great for league. If it was at Kogarah or Wolloongong only what 18 or 19 could have gone. Playing at small grounds is for teams that will always struggle.

By the way, the last time we got 20k at Cambo? :unamused:

P.S , my emoticon is better than yours.

Geez, when you walked into the ground there was a Gelato and Cappuccino stand. Pathetic! But I guess you've gotta keep your in-laws happy. :brick:

That kid who cut the ribbon at the start of the game is the son of my dad's co-worker. Apparently he said his dream isn't to play at CS one day because it's to play at LO. Twas still a funny moment.

I think I heard him say "no" when asked but I didn't hear him say anything about Leichhardt Oval.

My dad knows his dad, apparently that was the reason he said no.

Yes I think the the poor child has been brainwashed. It is obvious that Campbelltown Stadium is twice as good as leichhardt oval. :sunglasses:
