Centre options

What other options are realistically there? Second tier is a perfectly valid argument so it's ridiculous to completely dismiss it.
Move Austin and who plays half? Sirro maybe last year, sure, but he's too big now and Thompson easily has him covered in mobility.
I don't know what you're looking for in a centre but given the circumstances, until Moltzen comes back, he's our best option.

hopefully Moltzen is back. Surely he can play centre.

It's clear evidence we have a problem when some see Moltzen as a step forward. Yikes!

what about Nathan stapleton, watched him in the NSW cup a couple of weeks back looked very good covers f/b wing and centre.

No.

Stapleton is a poor mans Beau Ryan. He can cover fullback and wing, but put him in the centres and he turns into a dogs breakfast

We missed Lawrence big time last week, We also need to get another centre for next year, Dont knoe if any descent one are left without a club.

Hes yet to play NRL, I would like to see someone with a bit of experience signed, I am not saying Fine wont be a good Player.

Unfortunately, except Simona, our other 1st grade centers are way below par, both Lulia and Lawrance are has beens. :frowning:
I understand that because of 2nd tier payments (Fine, Hytchcox) and injuries (Milone, Save, Satterthwaite) our options are limited, so we are forced to play 'Sheens' options e.q. Thompson, Sironen, Halatoau etc . :frowning:

My selection for the next year:

FB Tedesco
LW Richards
LC Simona
RC Fine/Milone
RW Nofoaluma

Go Tigers :sign:

Have we even asked about getting a exemption for another player to come into the team,if Potter was fair dinkum I would have heard about us either getting one or getting knocked back.
To persist with Thompson and Lulia as our right side backs is beyond stupid, and for a bloke trying to save his job it is lunacy.

My only issue with Bodene playing center is he is too slow
Sometimes players make the wrong call in defense and move up too fast or slow but when they have pace they can turn and chase. Sadly BT doesnt have the pace as many quicker opposite numbers he faces off against

What about our new signing John Sila? 42 tries in 33 Holden Cup games for the dogs as an outside back.Surely he's worth a go otherwise why sign him?

Get a good off season under his belt and I'd be throwing young Seve in. He's had wraps on him for a few years and it's done no harm to youngsters this year being thrown in at the deep end
