It’s an excellent idea! We’re two foundation clubs, that’s a strength not a weakness. We should all lean into it.The heritage games would be absolute sell outs and he’d make his money from the high flyers.
It makes sense the more I think about it, the club could hold their old boys days and reconnect with players from those old clubs. Might give us a bit more of an identity and also we’d stop being so nomadic. The Balmain lads might lay off in the media.I’m glad @Jolls has a role in club dealings and not me. He’s far more considered, composed and diplomatic.
Sorry.no magpies in NRLThat would suit me personally actually.
Richo would be in corporate box heaven.
We could also mix it up. The Maggies at LO and Tigers at CSS. I’d still go to that and it would help mend the pain of merger for the olde guard. They’d have to support the side.
We’re in a rare positive ideas mode, details can be worked out later eg, Lobby PV for a heritage round 🤷♂️Sorry.no magpies in NRL
Pay attention
I don't have any pull unfortunately and the promised call to follow up on one of the Deep Dives has not eventuated. I have asked the FRG to follow up - but nothing so far. I love the idea of heritage rounds at LO and CSS what a marketing bonanza. Do it annually, different jumper style each year. I will raise it if they ever call!I’d write to him about it, but it would join my other member emails in the trash.
I understand @Jolls carries a bit of weight around the club, maybe he can raise it?
And the merch…!
Its a stupid idea that comes up at least once or twice a year. We’re in a rare positive ideas mode, details can be worked out later eg, Lobby PV for a heritage round 🤷♂️
Even the 2025 NRLW jersey has those logos on it.Its a stupid idea that comes up at least once or twice a year.
Weve done it before a few times but its done its dash.
Look forward to hopefully a brighter future... not to our crappy past.
Theres enough recognition now...i have a 2025 training tee with balmain and.magpies logos on it
Richo could sell one off tribute ticket package to both “club of origin” games. It makes sense the more I think about it, the club could hold their old boys days and reconnect with players from those old clubs. I was thinking about finding out it might cost to sponsor a NRLW player today.Even the 2025 NRLW jersey has those logos on it.
I think what we’ve been doing in trying to keep everyone happy is stupider. No home ground for 25 years, no wonder we have the worst record. Its a stupid idea that comes up at least once or twice a year.

Yeah, an old 1930’s Tigers replica jersey.I don't have any pull unfortunately and the promised call to follow up on one of the Deep Dives has not eventuated. Been saying this for 20 yearsI think what we’ve been doing in trying to keep everyone happy is stupider. No home ground for 25 years, no wonder we have the worst record.
We’re on the rise, our time is coming. Leichhardt and CCS are our heritage but our future is in a new stadium at Bradfield, next to the new International Western City Airport. It’s the largest development project in Australia, with billions of dollars in investment from govt, developers and investors. It will be Sydney’s third City along with Parramatta and the City of Sydney. It’s in our catchment and is a goldmine for the future of our club.I think what we’ve been doing in trying to keep everyone happy is stupider. No home ground for 25 years, no wonder we have the worst record.
I'm with @innsaneink on this one.Yeah, an old 1930’s Tigers replica jersey.
Very cool and trendy.
Something different for the cafe crowd to wear too.
A lot of Balmain folk drink at cafes on weekends. Sunnies, oatmeal decaf, Valerie the poodle in your 1930’s cotton jersey with a collar.
And your book of advanced applications for AI chatbot conversion therapy.
I think we’re past those times. We have an independent board, proper governance, proper leadership. Progress is slow to start but that’s because success is compounding not linear. We might not be there yet but there will be a time when we will embrace both sides of our heritage without fear or favour.I'm with @innsaneink on this one.
The more we bring the Balmain and Wests jerseys out the more it brings out the divided.
Those clubs are dead in the NRL. No need to perpetuate it other than the two old logos in a very small capacity on the jersey if they absolutely must.
This is how 100 year plus wars keep going. The parents keep passing down the old stories and the allegiances remain. I'd like the next gen coming through to have zero thought about either club to be fair.
If either side wanted a stand alone or recognition in the NRL, they would have done what Souths and even Norths did and fought for their club. Neither of ours did and now we have Wests Tigers. That's our team whether we like it or not. No need to keep dredging up the past. Frankly it wasn't something to celebrate at the time and it wasn't some big coming together. It was the day both supporters list their club. Fans were devastated.
