The boys showed character yesterday, obviously they were not in the right head space in that first half, however their effort in the second half was to be commended, they came back fighting and did not stop trying till the whistle, this type of mentality will serve them well later on.
 
Yeah completely agree. To be honest, I think it would have been disturbing if they weren't affected by the news. But the way they managed to turn things around in the second half is a credit to everyone involved.
 
Their comeback gave me goosebumps because you could see the pain in everyones eyes and the determination to put that to the side and fight.

For 15 minutes in that second half, the Roosters were dead in the water. It is going to be a long, hard week for the boys…especially Wednesday. Newcastle should be very worried as they will face a pissed off side who will be playing for their mate and each other.

And every other team we play this year. A focused, aggressive, controlled and ruthless TIGER team, playing for their mates and extended Tiger family is exactly what every other team will be in fear of.

Mate, after all that happened during the day and the amount of players we had out, you can still find a way to blame them. Robbie is going through potentially the hardest time of his life, and the boys are feeling his pain. Yet, of course, you come out and label them as weak. Yes, we weren't at our best, but to call them pea-hearts is just low.

One loss under duress and you rush in here to have a stab. Dead set pea hearted supporter is what you are. I get upset when we lose also but look a little deeper into the situation mate.

Even when we win you ain't happy by the looks of it and your way off the mark here. Support your team with support not constant criticism

When I read this I was shocked and at the least hurt at the fact that a Tiger fan would even begin to criticise the boys on yesterday. Are you so heartless to not even begin to understand what was going on in their hearts and minds. The boys endured a heavy battle and I congratulate them on that, they showed true strength and character.
 
More penalties in the 2nd spell, and a massive increase in possesion and playing catch up, throw it around footy….not so much character I think more we began to play

Thinking about it….my post didnt do the boys justice. There was plenty of character, I define it as ''overcoming adversity"....we almost did that.
I usually see character in defence though....that aspect ystrday it was lacking a lot, though circumstances were at play there
