Gonna look real choice when he's an old bloke, but these guys never think about that

I wonder how much money he's spent on those tatts over the years. I mean it's his money and body, he can do what he wants but geez I can think of some smarter ways to spend that kind of coin.

"I spent most of my money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered" - George Best.

I also love that (possibly apocryphal) question from a journalist as Best is sitting in a 5 star hotel surrounded by glamourise drinking top notch booze "So where did it all go wrong George?"

When he got a tattoo..?

Back on McQueen wasn't the best game I've seen him play this year..

No but he was solid for 80 minutes. They weren't using their second rowers a lot in attack. Wallace and James just kept lining up to take it up the guts which was fine in the case of Wallace, but James was busted for the whole second half. James is playing too many minutes at the moment, I've noticed him in a few games in a row taking tired, ineffective hit ups late in the game and being off the pace in defence. I know they had HIA problems last night but it seems to be the tactic to play James 60+ minutes regardless of the situation.

Mcqueen wasn't given many opportunities with the ball, he was looking for it but they usually went to another option.

Must have watched a different game to me. I NEVER saw him go looking for it. He was camped out wide all match and never went looking for it. Was actually wondering if he was playing centre at one stage.

I now see how he manages to play 80 mins. Does nothing. I was happy that it was a solid signing, I hope last night wasnt an indication of his effort.

I only watched a small portion of the match on my phone, but even in those few minutes I noticed a couple of plays where he had put himself in good position only to be overlooked for a poor option. Understands the role much better than any backrower WT has running around

Not expecting too much from him, but will be ecstatic if he can get close to his best form.

He plays out wide, titans had alot of opportunities to give him the ball in a good position.

The guy was rubbish last night. Never went looking for the ball and when he did get it he just ran a line without penetrating or even looking to pass.
Defense was average, but then again he was marking a hot James Roberts.
Wasn't thrilled with his signing but whatever, he's better than what we've got.

McQueen wasn't marking Roberts, that was Copley.

Could be right. Roberts last try was down that side, must have been on my mind.
Anyway, I'll try give the newcomer the benefit of the doubt.

This bloke is finished, mark my words!!
Very ordinary nowadays.
Until I see something from him to change my mind I'll stick with my opinion that he's not what we need and money could have been better spent elsewhere.

Maybe it's just me, but I think it's a bit unfair judging a player playing under different instructions from a different coach in a different side with a different structure. He's 30 years old with a very good record of being nearly injury free. Played Origin and won a premiership. I think he's earned the right to play in our colours under Cleary and his structure before being judged.

I don't care about different instructions different structure etc I'm judging him as a footballer and his ability to play football overall.
From what I've seen from him over the last few years he's a run of the mill player no better than Lawrence. Doesn't threaten the apposition with or without the ball.
He's had maybe 2 good seasons a few years back and is nowhere near the player he was back then now.

just wait until 2019 and we are carrying both lawrence and mcqueen for a total of 700k

the money we seem to be offering everyone makes me think we will be straight back in cap hell.

So now we're bagging the crap out of players before they've even laced a boot for us?
Isn't there enough crap dished up week after week to satisfy our apetite?

Do you understand that as an edge forward it's his job to hold the shape in attack out wide, unless the ball is on his side of the field he can't go looking for the ball, or his side loses shape

not under 7's you dont go looking for the ball you hold the structure and if your play maker calls you in then you go.

Has Chris actually made any comments about signing with us?

Don't think so. And that's a good thing, let him get on with his job for the Titans. I think the way our guys have carried on, it's good to see another player sign with another club and just get on with the job. If nothing else, he'll bring some much needed professionalism.

Another ordinary game from him last night, dropped the pill on tackle 1 at a crucial stage just stock standard.
