Club Statement - Tedesco and Woods

It just leaves such a bad taste in my mouth.

The disdain that they have shown must be seen by prospective players to the club. It's embarrassing. Can you see this ever happening at the Broncos?

I have followed the Tigers since the early 80's and whilst I always hold out hope next season will be better, I fear we are headed for a tough period with attracting talent ala Newcastle. We will eventually come good but it sucks that its going to be 'another' few years away….

Let the rebuild begin.

Both these players need to be droped from our team , if they both did not give the club the first hand update of there intentions they are very poor , disrespect , for the club , sponsors , fans , dead line was put down all they had to do was walk in and say I'm going , this club will be poorer if they let them take the field and play first grade , this is a disgrace

Well there's an indicator of the complete lack of respect and understanding from the players and their manager.

Rugby league is a brutal sport where the most courageous and committed thrive.

For Woods and Tedesco to allow THEIR manager to show such little courage and strength to be honest enough with the club, members and fans to tell us they'll be declining the contract offer of WT to play elsewhere next year is arrogant, disrespectful and disappointing beyond belief.

If Woods has any integrity at all, he MUST surrender the captaincy of the club IMMEDIATELY or the club should remove him from it.

What a complete slap in the face for all associated with our club if that charade of a leader is allowed to lead our team onto the park on Sunday. It CANNOT happen.

I thought Tedesco was better.

I am wrong, obviously.

Isaac Moses owes it to these two guys to at least TRY to explain why there was no response to the contract offer by the designated time today.

His credibility as a player manager is shot to pieces (although Nick Politis supposedly already had zero regard for the twat) unless there is some comment on behalf of Woods and Tedesco to the club, sponsors, fans and members on what has transpired today.

The silence is deafening.

He is doing no justice at all to Woods and Tedesco by not providing some clarifying statement of behalf of his players.

Can't they see that?

Their reputation and standing within the game is eroding by the minute while ever there is no response.

And, I would think most fans of any NRL club would feel exactly the same thing.

This is a disgrace.

I have this same knee-jerk reaction but don't we need to get as high up on the ladder as possible to attract players?

The public comments of Rowdy, Nofa, Taylor, Brooks, Grant and MCK over the past few weeks suggest these three are persona non grata with the rest of the squad.

I cant see how we can play them.

Incredible the absolute disdain they have treated the club with. Not so much the club, but the club's supporters. Not sure how those defending the players - Tiger from Gladstone step right up - can spin this. Cleared they knew on Tuesday they wouldn't be accepting our offers, so why not just fess up then and there instead of leading us on a [This word has been automatically removed]ing goose chase for 6 weeks. They've destroyed our season. Just incredible selfishness and disregard for their teammates and fans.

I just had to console my 4 year old as I unwillingly changed the background on my phone from Tede$co to a generic. Whilst I have accepted it, I didn't realise the effect this would have on the unknowing.
