Club Statement - Tedesco and Woods

They will try to spin this back on the tigers now.

Watch Woods try to drag the club down in the mud on NRL 360 for the rest of the year.

Love if the club could stop him being on the show.

Isaac Mo$es owes it to these two guys to at least TRY to explain why there was no response to the contract offer by the designated time today.

His credibility as a player manager is shot to pieces (although Nick Politis supposedly already had zero regard for the twat) unless there is some comment on behalf of Wood$ and Tede$co to the club, sponsors, fans and members on what has transpired today.

The silence is deafening.

He is doing no justice at all to Wood$ and Tede$co by not providing some clarifying statement of behalf of his players.

Can't they see that?

Their reputation and standing within the game is eroding by the minute while ever there is no response.

And, I would think most fans of any NRL club would feel exactly the same thing.

This is a disgrace.

100% but not in his mind cause in his smug brian he actually thinks this will play into his hands from a PR perspective.

**"The boys wanted to stay but the club pulled the offer and left us with no alternative"….**

I would be filthy if they came out with that statement.

Remember the players can TELL the manager what to do… the manager Is the advisor only

I am glad it ended like this as it makes it easier for me to let go of the thought of teddy not staying.
I am 100% behind this decision and back the club moving forward.
We keep blaming the board and management but We have a great CEO and Coach and can see the light at the end.
My hope is we buy well and overtake this idiots leaving and really rub it in.

WELL DONE AGAIN WESTSTIGERS …

No one will buy that rubbish. They've had months to make up their minds, as simple as they both are.

Wasn't too fazed if they stayed or went but to not even tell the club is poor form. How hard is it to say tell them we're not interested, if they did and he's not followed through they should drop as manager ASAP because that is his job and he's made they look like complete tools

Dirty management tactics have been a trait which only seems to ingrained here at the tigers. Sure there have been other clubs who have copped isolated occurances such as the Dogs and Money Bill Williams, though for us it has been a way of life.

Benji and his Rugby jersey whilst under contract, Farah when pushed out (rightly or wrongly, I couldnt think of another club stalwart who took to his club as he did in a futile resistance), Moses and his tantrum who would have had a contract if he had waited as he was asked…. and now these two gutless wonders.

We forfeited control over a decade ago, though today is a turning point. This is an endemic and learnt behaviour isolated to those raised within our system.

Teddy is our only loss. A big loss at that, though a fair price to pay for our future.

A new age by definition needs a new beginning. As painful as it is, we have a clean day one, where no player will be tolerated holding us to ransom.

I just cant get past the bad will even malice shown by these two. One being the club captain and the other being potentially the highest played player ever at the club.

The disrespect/disregard is truly breathtaking. I'm with others in that is rather watch a team get lapped this year minus these traitors rather than cheering them on. Granted im being emotional.

I never thought I would chant Woodsies a wanker either…..

I do wonder what effect this has on the he other players though, especially since Woods has been carrying the team by himself for so long

Let him play 80 mins

Get rid of all 3 of them. Make them all sit out for the whole season.
How could you play in the same team as them.
As for woods and Teddy. I hope they don't play soo. I think this will affect their selection. Daley was a one team player and loyalty and respect is big with him

Completely agree. There is always more talent but this is unprofessional. Completely disrespectful to the club. I think the way management have dealt with this has been solid as if they dragged it out any later getting replacements will be hard. Woods cannot remain captain after this treatment and ill lose a bit of respect for Cleary if he isn't removed especially once the bulldogs announce the deal.

Respect for the club following through on their word. Shows the true character of these so called "champion" players.

Woods is a numpty so this doesn't really apply but Teddy…If you have stuck strong (and taken the millions WT offered) you would have propelled your legend to the next level. Very few at any club get to that level. You had the chance.

Now you will always be the guy that dumped his team in its time of need. Roosters fans wont put you on a pedestal like we would of have. They wont shout him a beer 20 years after you've played your last game. Big misstep young fella...at the rooooooters you are just one of a long line of "buy in's" a used car salesman buys for his enjoyment.

This is a really good post. Tedesco is a loss on the field but clearly he is a low character human being and now that these guys are gone we may be able to develop a winning culture and team.

Why is it everytime someone types Tedesco, it turns into a $?

Surely that can be fixed, that is bloody poor form by whoever makes the site do that. We dont all have that opinion…... That sort of censorship is a disgrace.

Thats 100% spot on. It doesn't however prevent players agreeing to terms or clubs from shopping players around.

The Bulldogs have larger issues than the Roosters if they have Wood$ and Foran on their books especially with the increase in squad numbers and min salary.

So what happens if there are players at the Bulldogs who get tapped on the shoulder and told they are being moved on decide they don't want to move? Does that mean that any contract that the **Bulldogs might have with Aaron Wood$ is null and void because they wouldn't be salary cap compliant?**

prob why "he" asked for a long COP and why "we" imposed a deadline, Ivan doesnt seem interested in pandering like the board and Mr Pascoe are.

When did Pascoe pander?

Ask yourself why 2 weeks after Cleary comes on board we have a resolution to what was probably inevitable, Pascoe has been here for quite some time before that and one can assume he was along with the board and JT pandering to this lot. This is just my opinion it may or may not be the case, to an extent he probably had to pander to them to have any chance of keeping them. I wish it wasn't so but i think it was hopefully moving forward we don't find ourselves in this situation again. Once bitten twice shy and all that.
