Well my theory is that we announced his release today because if he is still officially on our roster on 1 November (tomorrow) it becomes messy regarding our 2020 Cap payments. Thought that I read somewhere about that.
So not sure if that means we still get trade and/or compensation when he officially signs for whatever other club or that we got “snookered”!

I find it interesting that clubs were only willing to throw scraps for Matterson ... maybe not in that bigger demand and realistically he is only getting a 100grand extra for the Parra deal apparently so was it worth trashing your reputation for when in time a real pay day could of been realised!

I think he had a lot of interest, but the fact is we were pushing for a player swap or for clubs to take someone like reynolds and noone wanted a bar of that. Hes met with at least 4 clubs.
