I think that's fair enough. His situation is similiar to Packer who when recently asked if he was leaving Wests Tigers replied " I still have a contact (to honour) with Wests Tigers.

Yes it does, he has burned his bridges and he has to go. The last thing we need is more disharmony within the team, we need to start the new season with everyone unified, on the same page and focused on winning.

It's no wonder you don't recall him saying "show me the proof" as he did not say it.

I was trying to be a bit clever [too clever for my own good as it turned out] by changing the wording of "show me the money" by Tom Cruise [not Tom Hanks] in the movie Jerry Maguire.

As an 'old fart' I find it simply amazing that I got the correct answer in about 10 seconds simply by 'asking Google'.

Another 'great' movie starring Jack Nicholson along with Tom Cruise... A Few Good Men, also from Mrs. Google at the same time.
